FD and Private banking score harshest mate then its a free for all to be fair.

Barclays and co-op basics are easiest, HSBC and RBS are the hardest..... thats about that really! Personally, for you - keep hsbc and close all your others, you'll never need them mate. Wait the 6mth and then open a second account with hsbc and you'll get a second o/d if necessary too.....

I love them even though they give me a headache lol - cos I know there aint any better other than First Direct who keep calling me a tight arsey and won't give in to my seductive flirting! :rotfl:

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Brilliant!!

Oh yeah I'm definitely sticking with them 100%!!!! Was flirting with Lloyds TSB a little :o, but i'll keep that as a back up plan I think. I'm also sticking with them because you know loads about them as does Innocent, so I can bug you both via text about them lol :rotfl:

So the full 6 years for my defaults to drop off before i bother with 1st Direct?

I think there's been a fu*k up at Capital One HQ!!

I'd ring them up, because doesn't that particular card come with loads of benefit?

A credit limit from £4,000. Something has gone a miss.

Did you apply for that card p?

I wasn't asked if I wanted one and didn't request one in case it lowered my chance of getting the account?

Is it worth applying for one or waiting? Does a decline lower the behaviour score...I am building it up nicely so far...salary paid in april, may & today average £2k per month, lots of debit card transactions, not gone under £500 balance, have a linked saver crediting £250 per month

do not apply online ring TB and see what they say - they will tell you if it will likely be accepted or declined mate. I wasn't asked if I wanted one either you know - but after a month I rung and said I wanted one applying, the system showed £500 available so I asked for that - they added it after a day!

    Best of luck.... :D

you need a score of 70+ to be pre-approved (i.e. soft search with CC and behaviour score) :D

    40+ to get an account
    50+ to get overdraft/cgc (or wait 6mths)
60+ to get credit card (or wait 6-9 months)
70+ to get loan (or wait 12 months)

So after 9 months you apply, how likely is it that I'll get a credit card from them? I know it's crystal ball time but In your opinion.

No mate you can apply after 6 but may get told no - they will do a full search if you apply for anything outwith those timescales, if you wait til then you'll have the pre-desired behaviour score iyswim? :D

I see exactly what you mean. So after six months of behaviouring myself with them. They'll set a BH score. If that's only 56, for example, and I need 60+, will they do a full search then, or still do a soft search the call credit?

    Thanks oracle! :D
