  • I applied online for a Capital one card (posted on here), well not received anything in the post yet, but i did only apply at the weekend.

Anyway, tonight ive had 2 emails from Capital one.

1 - my user name for online services

    2 - my password

Logged in and seems i have a £200 limit which isnt huge, but as previously stated, just want the green dots rather than money as such.

is this normal with capital one to do this ? send the online stuff because you get anything else ?

I dont know if anyone else is the same, but i waited for a year with vanquis before i applied for capital one. That is probably a little too long but didnt want to be rejected :)

If it helps - for an extra green zero a month i aplied for a basic lloyds bank account which reports on my credit file despite the fact i opened it and have never ever put a penny in there lol

When I applied I never got this information, no. But I applied back in January and things change, but ever since I got my Capital One card, lenders seem more willing to lend money to me.

Halifax are being a pain in the !!!!, I applied for a bank account a few weeks ago and they haven't processed it because I opened an Easycash account with them, about 4 years ago and I never told them I moved address, so until I go into the Branch to change my address with them, they won't process the application! Boo!! It doesn't matter really anyway, because i'm happy with HSBC!

I've also had my Vanquis card, I'll post some pics either tomorrow or Friday :)

iZools, where are these Lloyds TSB platinum card pics!! :P

so i see by your signature .... you are doing well !!

i did apply for a sygma card but i still have a ccj & default from 2007 even though i now have a year full of green dots all over the place!

I will try again in the summer for sygma, maybe they will change their mind after my capital one account is showing green dots too :)

Personally i hate halifax too !! Ive had an easycash account with them now for many many years (about ten i think, cant quite remember!) and they refuse every application to upgrade .... grrrrr

The nice black card ? i get to look at one of those every day. I even get to carry it in my purse .... shame it belongs to other half and not me though lol

Hope one day my credit will be good enough for lloyds to let us change his account for a joint one :):)

Edited to add - no, he has the premier account which is the black card above the plantinum! He wasnt fussed about it though, he only went in cause he sat on his regular card and snapped it and they talked him into upgrading !

    Yea.

Oh, pinch it, and post pics of it!! (obviously removing all details from the back and front!!) :D

If you continue building your credit up there shouldn't be an issue, what's on your file? Any nasties?

    nasties = 1 ccj and 1 default from 2007

We have never asked lloyds to change it to a joint account as you cannot do it online and i couldnt handle being told no in person :o
