Try Capital One and Vanquis because Aqua is very hard to get.

Should of put Agua is very hard to get if you have a sh*t credit report, but if your credit report is average aqua should be easy, and if your credit report is good you would not need to resort to these kind of cards.

Avoid Natwest, they search all the CRAs

Why not start with a Capital 1 or Barclaycard? Try the pre-check tool thiny on their website.

Should I stick to lenders that only search on Experian? I think I read on a different thread that Capital 1 and Barclays search both?

I would certainly try Cap 1 before I tried the dreaded Vanswiz....they have a good acceptance rate for the Classic card.

Have you try the Braclays pre-check?

Forget the Barclaycard then, how many times have you actually been properly searched in the past three months for loans, cards etc?

Also, it's worth trying this one, it leaves no footprint on your credit serach.

I only have 1 search from Santander for my CC application. I saw some other check from RBS for insurance which I assume is my home insurance. It that relevant?

Used that link you provided, got 8/10 for Cap1 Progress but also gave me 6/10 for Barclaycard Initial...?

Gives me somewhere to start with though, thanks!

I would go for a Cap 1 Classic or if you want to push the boat out, a Progress.

The % rate is nonsense as you'll only be using it for credit building.

If you can be patient and wait six months and don't mind wasting a fiver a month, the Cashplus Credit Builder card does work.....just takes time.

Think I'll go with just the Cap1 Classic. The APR is meaningless as I will be paying in full each month. I guess I will just need to be patient, all my defaults will drop off in 1 year so I should have a clean record by then.
