Cool. I ditched Barclays for Lloyds TSB, too, but I'd already had an account with them from before Bankruptcy - I just didn't use it for over a year whilst undischarged. That's the only reason I have a full one with them.

Go for the appeal, I wish you the best of luck with it  The only bank that openly offer accounts to discharged bankrupts are Halifax / Bank of Scotland who say you can apply for a full account as long as you've had no CCJs / Decrees / Bankruptcies registered in the last 36 months - so you could go with lloyds until you've had 36 months clean history and then ditch and switch.

Although once I've had 36 months clean history (March) I'll be applying for HSBC. Lloyds are better than Barclays IMHO but HSBC better still :o

why would you want three credit facilities izools? one yes, aas a rebuilding facility but three? Doesn't make sense to someone who has lost it all due to bankruptcy

Those are all questions that he has already answered.

I suggest you use the search facility if you require the answer.

Further more if you don't have anything constructive to add to this thread why don't you go play with your toy cars.

WHAAAAAAAAAAT!?!?! Weirdos! Just checked my records, I was declined for a barclaycard initial on 5th Aug 2010.... surely, even if my information has changed massively for the better in 2 months, I couldn't reapply this close? I've reapplied within 6 months before and been accepted for things, but that was like 5 & 1/2 months, not 2 months!!

If I hadn't been declined on 5th Aug I'd reapply for a laugh and appeal based on that (I know it's not a guarantee of acceptance or whatever, but it's clearly very very wrong!!)

Edit: In the end I re-applied because I thought it might have not counted my last app (being too close to the previous one, I'm not sure if it was) and so, if that did happen, this would've been 6 months... surprise surprise they declined it. I'm going to appeal it as the only option for me was Unemployed, and obviously that looks bad whereas student they would know I'm getting grants/loans... and I'll shove in Parental Contributions (aka professional gambling!) like I did with Aqua :D - see what they say to that! My recent new accounts probably mean it's still a no, but it would be nice to get in there with Barclays and Halifax!!

The additional search shouldn't hurt with Sygma, if it does I'll just try again later on for a new card... I'm never going to hit the limits I've got, so if they don't give me another Cap1 can stay for a bit!

    Barclaycard doesn't like us students.

Students are ok as long as they go to college/university and study something actually worth studying for.

You've never managed to get one then? Haha I've got no chance then, I can't see what's up with that stupid pre-app check to give me such high percentage and then I get instant decline lol! :rotfl:

Yea because Computer Science, Computer Networking and Accounting are such easy pointless subjects to study, clearly not worth us studying them
