Been at my current address 3 years now, fancy applying for a credit card, who only searches 3 years of history? Should I go for Aqua or Sygma (as I currently have Vanquis) or try and go for something like Tesco?0
-
Go for Sygma, more lenient and far more better than Aqua and they only search Equifax....0

Everyone learns - that's what life is all about isn't it? Or should I have not learned from my own mistakes and not take my own advice now?
Everyone ends up in trouble, everyone makes mistakes. That's what life is all about. It's how you handle it and learn from it that makes you who you are.
A great philosopher once said "A man is not defined by how tall he stands - but how far he climbs, having fallen"
Anything else about me you want to dig at or try to tear apart? Or are you NID going by an alias back for round two of iZools-Intimidation?Star-Fire wrote:£1300 ain't to bad even if you spend close to the limit it still aint a massive dept, lets just hope in april next year when your experian report shows good and your whatever it is drop of your file, you don't get tempted with the big players of the credit card market out there...
Oh my experian report is shot for quite a few years yet just that April next year I'll have had 36 months clean running so should be in a better position to ditch Lloyds TSB and go to HSBC.
Don't really have any interest in other credit cards though tbh I've already got more than I want and even though I know I could get probably three more Sygma cards I don't see the point. It'll just make me look immature and overcommitted....
And I've done enough immature / overcommitted in my time to know never go there againOh it has. I can safely say those figures in my signature are way off the mark now.I got a little too carried away on a shopping trip and racked up £600 in one shop, on my Flybe.
Although my personal injury compensation settlement will be here any day now so I look forward to clearing my debts - only to gradually rack them up again.
Ah OK. My figures are accurate for the time being and I've vowed to myself not to use my cards again until I've paid off this summers round of spending. Which shouldn't be too hard as my full time salary starts at the end of September and I can then chuck a good £450/Month into my cards getting them gone before easter
Surviving on a part time wage for the last year has taught me a lot about living a champagne lifestyle on a lemonade budget and I see no reason to change it. Keep my outgoings down to a minimum and use the new increased suplus to clear my splurges and start building a nest egg. Happy days :beer:Since NatWest is a part of RBS, is it possible for NatWest to transfer all of your accounts over including internal scores etc to RBS?
No but if you're trying to avoid the Santander takeover you can have them move your account to a Scottish domiciled Sort Code (they start 8x-xx-xx, normally 83-xx-xx). The account can still be serviced in English / Welsh Natwest branches despite being "RBS" brandedCashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

Which is correct ?
Jeez it just gets worse.
You do not get a CPD for using your authorised overdraft. Stop telling people this!
I have happily used my overdraft and been afforded further lending from Lloyds, it is a short term borrowing facility that is on my account to be used. I pay it back when I do use it via my salary which is above and beyond my overdraft limit.0 -

I am merely quoting izools' assertion
and await an explanation (if any)
He has stated that he uses his overdraft and applies for accounts elsewhere
He states that this has an impact on his risk indicator and/or CPD

Like I've already these pieces of information are not my view but views relayed to me by two branch managers and countless team managers on the telephone helpdesk.
Don't shoot the messenger!
I think the lesson to be learned here is even that management at the bank don't understand how their scoring system works so instead of admitting this and saying it's an in house secret (or words to that effect) they reel off endless lies and spiel until the cows come home. Urgh. Last time I repeat the information (lies) they tell me. Waste of everyone else's time.Cashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

I did go on a splurge six or seven weeks ago - my PC died and my speakers started to distort on my HiFi; knowing that I was up for more-than-doubled hours at work (which I start on Monday! w00t!) I did a naughty.
The cards are now frozen (literally - in the freezer) and I've edited my standing orders to pay £150 a month off each one (£450 total each month) from the end of September (up from £100 on each now) so I'll have them clear before Easter.
Probably shouldn't have spend so much but it is easily manageable and going to be cleared quickly. I'll keep updating my sig with the current state of affairs so do give me a rollocking if they don't go down(They will though).
 Thanks for the kick though :beer:Cashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48
