I have just received my debit card for the citibank euro current account and it comes with a £100 cheque guarantee hologram. Not that I am using it anyway, especially because this is an account denominated in euros, but I guess I could open an sterling current account with them and just order a cheque book, since the card can be linked to any account held at citibank.

HSBC also opened for me a full current account with debit card and cheque book, but declined me for an overdraft and credit card.

Had a little bit of success with Vanquis, they had charged me £12 for a missed payment which I hadnt missed I had paid by debit card. Took ages to get the thick so and so to realise that If I paid on the 29th July (he stated the date) and the payment wasnt due till the 2nd then the payment wasnt late:mad::mad:
He huffed and puffed and then said oh all right then Ms Witch as a gesture of goodwill I will refund the £12 on this occasion:T:T

Trouble is I am now on statement 6 and still no increase from £250 and this I am thinking is gonna be unlikely to change. Dont want to chance my arm with Cap1 just yet....................BUT bloody washing machine has just gone caput!!!!! ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dont worry about it ive had my vanquis since january and not had an increase either though ive had one from cap1 and aqua,

picking up on u paying via ure card oin the 29th ure lucky he refunded you as there not a proper bank, they often say allow 4 days for your payment to reach us therefor you probably did pay late etc, next time pay a week befor incase u hit a weekend

ie an INSTANT payment via debit card isnt as INSTANT as you think.......

Well, I've currently got about £30 until I get paid in a fortnight, so it's all relative :D
Haha, oh dear!! I still can't work out who would've sent me that, it just says BAC but no details until tomorrow morning I guess :( Only thing I can think of is SFE, but I don't know why they'd send me that and now!?

Depends how you handle it. Hasn't been in your case, has it?

Oh it has. I can safely say those figures in my signature are way off the mark now. :( I got a little too carried away on a shopping trip and racked up £600 in one shop, on my Flybe.

Although my personal injury compensation settlement will be here any day now so I look forward to clearing my debts - only to gradually rack them up again. :D

£1300 ain't to bad even if you spend close to the limit it still aint a massive dept, lets just hope in april next year when your experian report shows good and your whatever it is drop of your file, you don't get tempted with the big players of the credit card market out there...
