Whilst I don't agree that the OP is necessarily a bad parent, they are certainly wearing rose tinted spectacles whilst looking at her daughter.0

does she live with you?
if she defaults on the payments and this gets passed on to a debt collector then i guess they can take stuff away from the joint residence to dispose off and settle the bill! something to be aware of and take precautions if she cant pay her bills and expects you to bail her out.bubblesmoney :hello:0 -

Debt collectors can't remove your goods, or enter your residence.0 -

Just wondering, do the networks not have a cancellation policy? At my store, when we do contracts on mobile broadband, networks have a 3/14/28 day cancellation policy, to take into account things like not receiving adequate signal. Might be worth checking through the paperwork.
(Sorry if someone else has suggested it, there was a lot of waffle to get through!)
Afaik, of all the larger networks, O2 and Virgin are the only ones who offer a cooling off period when the contract is bought from a retail store.0 -

That is court appointed bailiffs only
Your point stands though - that they could call at the house to chase the debt up - but all they can do is ask.0 -
I thought it was only bailiffs that could do that not debt collectors?0
