A tip for you shellsuit.......dont stand too near a flame!
Your daughter is a liar, salesman can never say that to her to get a pound from her friend,if he was a desperate salesman he would have paid her a pound to setup direct debit..If she cant pay it then you should pay for her if you cant then sell your phone on ebay, your problem is solved..0 -

i would say from my own point of view thought if she is old enough to get the contract she is old enough to sort it out and mum i admire your wanting to get involved and protecting your daughter but just let her make some mistakes because that how she will learn .

Durhamgill you will have to get used to it I am afraid.
I have recently been on two threads that were closed because they resulted in nothing other than a slanging match.I will never understand it myself why people cant put their point of view across without being so personal, attacking, insulting and judgemental and it comes across as bullying to me.
Having said that there are some really nice people on here who are very helpful.
I hope you get this sorted out one way or another.0 -
The salesman can't have been that irresponsible - after all, he clearly has a job which presumably allows him to afford his own mobile contract. Perhaps that's how he ended up working at P4U in the first place...0

i have read through this thread and I can not understand exactly what you want Durhamgill.
You asked for advice, you got it.Clearly you dont like some of it - it does get a bit brutal round here sometimes- but it seems that advice is not what you want but sympathy because some big bad salesman sold your daughter a phone she cant afford.
Its rather sad that you cant accept that this is your daughters fault and hers alone.Wether or not you help her is up to you but if all you want to do is rant then go ahead but please dont gety all sniffy when the truth cuts a little too close to the bonegarth;)0 -
In response to the original question...
Have you tried talking to the branch manager? If you explain the situation to him in a calm way there may be something he can do. Otherwise ask him for the name and number of his area manager.
Just remember, keep calm, don't apportion blame, just explain your daughter's situation and find out if there's any way to resolve it.
Be prepared though, to find out there's nothing to be done and your daughter will have to learn from it.
Good luck0 -

Thats not realy fair, You asked on a public forum for advice.
You have had advice about getting in touch with the network or store manager etc, but the general consensus is that your daughter is to blame for the mess but you dont want to hear that so you start getting defensive, which is understandable but it doesnt change the facts.0
