Its quite ironic that people who go bankrupt because they cant afford to pay their debts have to pay £600 to the court ???

Hi All,
Got the phone interview with the OR on the 21st, any tips would be most greatful. Was paying an IVA for just over 3 years ( £900 a month ) until the wifes job went then couldnt keep it up. Any ideas if the OR will take this into account ??

Well, had a few meetings with a guy at the CAB and he has been great. Going in on monday for him to double check our forms then straight off to the court. Really nervous, but all the info on this site has really helped.

I'm sure it will all be fine, but I wil kepp you all posted as to my progress.

Morning hardtimes sounds like everythings going good then...dont be nervous its not really half as bad as your thinking it will be...I guarantee the day in court you'll come out thinking "huh...was that it?"

Im in. Filed on Friday 16th and have OR phone interview on the 27th.
Been struggling since I had to give up work seven years ago due to wife's illness/disability.....had shortly before invested heavily in going self-employed so started with a hefty debt which has grown and grown......fuelled by regular credit card interest rate rises (even though through all the years I never missed a single payment).

I feel almost human now....and the fact that I found out this morning that as all my income is from benefit it seems I won't have to have an IPA is just amazing. I can rejoin the human race...and I can answer the phone again.

I am due in Court at 10.30 tomorrow to file for BR. I am extremely nervous and stressed about it but hey ho, many people have done it and survived so hopefully I will too. I will let you know how I get on.
