Had the hearing booked for 9-30 at Walsall County Court.Arrived at car park at 8-15 as scared of unforeseen delays!Let into court at 9-15.All staff very friendly.Just went through the forms and paid.If you want to be exempt from the court fees you have to have a copy of your tax return if you are self-employed.I had all the statements, accounts and benefit details but had to pay just because of not having that. Can get a copy from tax office and then fee is refunded. They were very nice and sympathetic about this at the court.Waited a while and then was told it had gone through and the secretary would type out my bankruptcy proof form. Was in the building about an hour and a half, mostly just waiting. The staff at Walsall are great, very friendly and treated you just normally. We even had a laugh.Even the security guard at the door said'all done?Best of luck!'I expected to be tearful but I just felt relieved. All that burden of debt gone. This was yesterday (Thurs 8th) and the OR phoned me this afternoon from Birmingham. She sounded a pleasant young woman. She said she would send me a pack which would be about a week to 10 days and then we would arrange a date and time for a phone call or meeting. She said my car and cash account would be OK.Great relief!!Like most people say on here it is nowhere near as bad as you expect. This site has been a great help as it prepared me for this and I would have been a lot more apprehensive and stressed without it.Thanks!!0

Hi Everyone,
The OR has rang and booked a telephone interview with me next week. I've also now got my ''pack'' through which all looks very simple to sign and return. My only doubt is it mentions in the letter to look at the date's and reasons the debt was incurred. I have nothing to hide but how is the best way to explain spending tens of thousands of pounds over a ten year period? I have no assset to show for it? I've just been consolidating for years!? Will the fact that i have never ever misssed any payments work in my favour?
Hope everyone in the club is bearing up okay? Still very raw for me as expected i guess but in general everyday seems to get a little bit easier?

well i filed yesterday (fri 9th). I was going to go the other week, but i didnt realise you needed an appt! so it was booked for yesterday! i was worried, and i was early, etc. sat and waited. the man i spoke to wasnt that sure about it all, so that worried me. he hadnt seen the online forms before and it took a while to go through, but he was nice enough. then i had to go off for an hour while the judge looked it over. came back and then i spoke to someone at the OR office. but i spoke to a foreign lady, who didnt really help at all. she asked if i had a car, and i said yes on hp. she then paused and asked who i banked with, so i said HSBC, and she paused then said, so you have one vehicle on HP with HSBC. i then corrected her, as i bank with hsbc but car hp is with someone else and she got a bit shirty. but it was her questions that were wrong not my answer! so i would say overall i didnt have a great experience, but wasnt bad either! i was told i would be contacted in 3-4 weeks time for an appt, which i thought was a bit long, is that normal?

Hello Everyone!
Have had my OR interview now. Not great but defintley nothing to fear! Completley honest with them , admited to being stupid and living beyond my means! The OR informed me that they compile a report which will take 8weeks? They mentioned the house and said i would receive information regarding the bi.
Can anyone give me an idea what is the timeline for the next year in terms of events ??
thanks
