    Some calculations on the back of my train ticket reveal that if I take my normal monthly payments into account I only have to find £7 per day to meet my target. That's only £210 per calendar month, which is less than I'm getting in rent anyway. It's totally doable Internets!

    *happy dance*

    I feel a challenge coming on to finish in November on basis that rent is £90 more than £210.00, 3 x £90 = errrr ummm £270. therefore loan repaid an lodger gone by November. :T IYSWIM

    Oh it's definitely doable, especially as this month I should have 19 hours of overtime in my salary, plus my additional allowance for my secondment (£260 before tax) so will be able to make a decent lump sum payment to the Loan Fund.

    That being said....I would also like to go away for a weekend with Mr Fresian as it's our 10 year anniversary next month :eek: I'm probably going to be spending some of the Loan Fund on that to be honest, as I think it's quite an achievement. Lots of people don't even stay married that long :rotfl:

    So, if I can keep £200 aside in case we decide to go away (Somewhere fancy with a big clawfoot bath :D) then I should still be able to make a decent overpayment this month and will also have:
    • Normal payment of £128
    • Any Quidco payment
    • £300 rent
    • £15 in Reward Account payments
    which can all the thrown in the general direction of the loan. It's all looking hopeful :j

    The thing that I might overspend on is tickets to the Fringe, as it's on for another couple of weeks, I have sod all money, but I really want to go and see more shows :o They have a Half Price Hut where you can get half price tickets though and I will try and buy anything I want from there. I can go to all the shows I want next year when I'm free of infernal debts!

    Sounds like a good plan - congrats on 10 years, well worth a break away. Arent De vere hotels doing some deals at the mo, plus via Pizza Hit we ended up with a stay one night get another free with holiday inn. I'm sure there are some nice places around.

    We are back up just beyond Edinburgh next weekend and just because the fringe is on the hotel prices are :eek:. Luckily I'm only paying one night and I've found somewere cheaper, but the other night I think we have about 6 rooms at premium rate!

    Make sure and wave at Fresian Towers on the way through town :D

    One of my colleagues just paid £140 (thankfully reclaimable) for a night in a Travelodge in Edinburgh this week. :eek:

    Spends today:

    £1.85 on tea (2 cups....still not good) In my defence, I haven't had any dairy since Saturday and I cracked. I needed milk. I did have skimmed milk though as it's closer to water than regular milk is :D

    £2.09 (!!) on a diet Pepsi while I was out for dinner.

    £2.55 on milk and bread

    £5.50 on dinner (Thank the gods for Toby Carvery, saviour of the Poor!) I was quite good and had turkey and lots of veg, none of them with butter/cheese on them. I did cave and have a Yorkshire pudding though and a small dribble of gravy.

    I'm trying to be good and eat really well, but it's dull. I really am someone who loves fatty foods! The good thing though is that dinner hasn't brought on a gallstone/mystery pain attack, which gives me hope for eating normally again soon. I've been a little scared to eat anything in case I ended up back in the hospital again!

    I now have £3+change in my Entertainment account. I suspect that this will not be enough to see me through the month....

    There are 11 loooong days until payday....:(

    Money

    PAD/Spends = £31
    Entertainment = £3.82
    Groceries = £40.45
    Outstanding loan = £1385.71
    Purse = £20.14

    There are 10 days until payday :eek:

    Todays spends I know about are going to be on lunch (Mr Fresian ate the lunch I had left in the fridge, the sod!) and tomorrow I'm going to be carefully planning then carefully spending the £40 I have left for groceries. We need to get cat litter, and it's as well to get it from Asda where it's £8.37 than to take the car to the other side of town to Costco where it's about £1 cheaper. Sodding expensive mogs *muttermutter*

    So, tonight's fun job is going to be looking through the cupboards and seeing what we need to last until the 23rd when I get paid, and what can wait until next week. I'm going to have a batch cooking frenzy soon, as I'm away for most of next week and a chunk of the following week with work and if Mr Fresian is left to his own devices he'll eat cheese sandwiches every day and will have scurvy by the time I return :D

    Hi all!

    I've been for my scan and its definitely gallstones so surgery is on the horizon. It should be covered by my insurance though so posh hospital for me. More on how posh it was later - I felt like the cleaner :rotfl:

    Mr Fresian came with me and I spent £4.70 buying us breakfast afterwards, was totally worth it though! I have to buy lunch today too but I'm going to get it from Tesco instead of the nice deli round the corner. :A
