How The Other Half Live....A Tale of Feeling Out Of Place by F. Fresian (Aged 29 3/4)
We drove up the long and winding road to the hospital through the grounds. This wasn't a garden, these were grounds.
Mr Fresian parked our 15 year old Fiesta in the carpark, beside all the Jags and Audis, her rust patches gleaming in the early-morning sunshine.
We walked into the main door of the hospital and were greeted, before we got to the reception desk, by a man wearing some very smart breeks and a tartan waiscoat. He called me "madam". Twice. He then directed me to the right place.
I filled in all the forms and got taken for the ultrasound, leaving Mr Fresian in the waiting room with the braying Yahs. When I returned, he had my iPod in and his eyes closed. I was a little confused, but was highly amused when he told me (outside) that he had to use it as the Yahs had been talking about the horses they owned and their Jack Russells (He hates them) while reading the Daily Mail :rotfl: Not our sort of folks at all!
It was a really nice place, very shiny and clean and the people were lovely. But, Jings, you could smell the money!!0 -
That did make me chuckle
But have to point out I read the D Mail:p

£3.00 on bread (no point in freezing it, it'll be gone tomorrow at the rate DD gets through it for her 'little peicies')
£1.46 on some diluting juice
£1.00 on milk (fresh 'n low is only £0.50 in Tesco for 4pints :money:)
£0.72 for some facial scrub...could only get Tesco cheap stuff, hope it's o.k!!
£0.72 for the matching moisturiser
And that's it...for now...
Because I'll soon be adding to my xmas stuffI need to get more organised than I am...I've only got 6 presents so far...I feel naked as they aren't even wrapped yet!
