Fresian's Final Push...Mooooving Towards Freedom

I am soooooo planning to go to the 2012 olympics too! :j I went to some of the Sydney olympics in 2000 (as I was in oz anyway) - It was amazing! I've never seen so many people in one place as for the athletics! There was a one way flyover thing (motorway styleee)... but for people! Accomodation costs went up in Sydney compared to normal but I did it very much on a budget. (~double for the YHA I was staying in but it meant I could have access to a kitchen and was 10 mins walk from one of the central sites) There was lots of free transport and entertainment on which helped to keep costs down.
I'm hoping to be able to do it on the cheap as much as possible....have had the offer of a couch from a kind MSE person! Looking forward to it already
On my way out to spend comping win at local antiques show now and also to pick up the Sunday paper for free Fringe tickets. The MSE action never stops in Fresian Towers!0 -
My spends...
£1.92 on a bag of sugar (OH didn't tell me we needed it, I don't use it so I didn't know)
£1.44 on fridge raiders
£0.88 on tomatoes
£0.75 on a cucumber
£0.78 on lettuce
£1.07 on a little bottle of salad cream :eek:
£1.00 on bottle of Pepsi Max
OH doesn't have much in the way of spends as I 'need' all his money for my quest to debt-freeness but then I spend money on Pepsi Max that I don't need, he doesn't eat salad and I feel like I'm a really selfish cow buying stuff for me but he's got nothing.
I'm beginning to think that I should ease up on him a little...but if I give him an inch, he'll take 5 miles :mad: so I don't know what to do! Mybe I should allocate him some more money to keep him off my back...?Started PADdin' 13/04/09 paid £7486.66 - CC free 02/11/10

Todays spends:
£10 on a necklace - this was at the antiques fair I was at. It was meant to be £130 but I haggled to £110 and the competition win was for £100 so I only had to pay £10 myself :j Hopefully the pic below does it justice - it's 9 carat gold and peridot with small fresh pearls. Gorgeous!!
£0.47 on a bottle of water
£1.60 on a newspaper, although this has a coupon for two free Fringe tickets which will be worth about £20
£14.54 in Morrisons on groceries.
I needed to get lots of fresh fruit and veg as until I can figure out what foods are setting off my pains I'm going for a low fat diet. Tonight I had vegetable stir fry for dinner with rice noodles, which was actually tastier than I thought it was going to be! I also got some good bargains - their 1kg pasta is on Buy 1 Get 2 free, so I got that offer (then had to play cupboard Tetris when I got homeAt least I know we won't have to buy any for a couple of months!) and they also had Napolina tomatoes on 2 packs for £4. It works out as only a little more expensive than basics tomatoes and they are tasty

Reasons for my rubbish nights sleep last night:
- Too hot
- Too cold
- Seagulls making noise outside
- Cat trying to dig up bedroom carpet at 4am
- Mr Fresian snoring
- Back pain
- Stomach pain
Money
PAD/Spends = £60
Entertainment = £19.91
Groceries = £43
Purse = £10.57
Outstanding loan = £1390.05
Funds are looking quite tight considering that it's 14 days until payday and I have a trip to Englandshire coming up before that for a work meeting. I'm going to be away for three nights and have all my food etc to pay for. It's all going on the Tesco card though to earn lots of lovely points and then can be reclaimed afterwards.
I have two Fringe shows to go to tonight as well, so it looks like I'll be finishing work, popping to the doctors, having a nap and going out for the night. If I hadn't already paid for the tickets I wouldn't be going anywhere...

I missed my bus
Thankfully mobile internet is keeping me entertained.
I'm the queen of shutting the gate only to see the required bus sailing away at the end of the street. I'm in no state to run this morning either. I'm hoping the traffic isn't too bad...0 -
Resons for my lack of sleep last night...
Too hot
Mr Angelic snoring
A great big spider that Mr Angelic refused to get out of the bed to move so I lay awake half the night wondering where it wasStarted PADdin' 13/04/09 paid £7486.66 - CC free 02/11/10

I'm glad it's not just me who slept badly - misery loves company and all that!!
NSD here so far. I had breakfast at home and have had lunch that I made this morning. Grilled chicken salad with no dressing. Dull but good for me I suppose. I was going to take a walk to get some fresh air but will probably end up somewhere spending money I don't have to, so it's a lunchtime of MSE threads for me :A
I have my doctors appointment this afternoon and have called work to check that I still have BUPA cover, which I do. I just need to get the GP to refer me to a BUPA registered consultant for the scan (if that's what he decides I need) and it will be covered. Hopefully that means it will all be sorted quickly!
