Morning all!
I now have an XboxThankfully nobody in the neighbourhood saw the courier failing to deliver the large Amazon box to my house and instead popping it in the brown bin to await my arrival home  Useless, useless people.....
I haven't played it yet, as the LEGO Harry Potter game (and some others) weren't delivered yesterday. (Different courier, with different definitions of what counts as "delivered") Sadly this courier isn't anywhere on a bus route and has the worst opening hours ever - 9am till 4pm then 8pm till 9.30pm. I've persuaded a friend to give me a lift there tonight though, so should be playing Quidditch by bedtime :j

Morning F_F, glad it is going well, even though you are tired.
Grrrrrr to the delivery driver, that is really bad.
I have just realised I have some clothes to go on Ebay, plus a few other bits. Do you always do it so its ends on a Sunday, or is that just a myth about better results as so many people are finishing at the same time?0 -

I list to finish on Sundays as that tends to be when the Free Listing Days are! I haven't listed anything for ages which had fees for insert. It's not worth me doing that for the items I'm selling. I normally get a good bit of interest when I finish listings on Sunday - be aware of sports fixtures or good telly the following week though. If your item finishes during something decent on the telly you may not make as much money :rotfl:0 -

You could be really naughty, ring Amazon and say that it hadn't turned up!
The hermes courier that delivers round here is awful. Because its flats, we have a driveway with parking spaces that have the flat number painted in. She leave parcels just on the drive in the parking space if people are not in, ANYBODY could just walk in and pick them up! I think it's awful.Ths signature is out of date because I'm too lazy to update it...0 -
Cheers for the advice F_F!0

O.k so I'm back to get caught up. I won't go into everything that I've bought but the totals are...
£23.13 in Tesco on everything from bread to tomato puree. Included in that total was a £4.50 spend on reduced price mince (I bought 2 packs at £2.25) which have been split up and put into 8 freezer bages ready to be used during the coming month & beyond
£20.98 on new shoes. I really love the shoes Silaqui offered me but they are very nice and I thought they'd be a bit wasted on me so with a very heavy heart, had to turn them down
£5.00 on 3 haircuts
£1.60 in the bakery getting some rubbish food for the weans whilst we were out.
£105.00 to credit card which will be padded at £15.00 per day until Tuesday.
£151.36 on the 4-weekly shop. This is more than I normally spend as some of the things I buy on a regular basis have come off offer and have stung me this time round and I've also bought a couple of things I wouldn't normally buy. I've stocked up on weigh in morning treat breakfast stuff too so I don't have to go to the over priced Tesco to get a pack of bacon
£50.00 into my 'excess money' account ready to be used for extra cc payments or an emergency/maybe xmas
£5.99 on some spray for getting rid of some mould that has appeared around my kitchen sink _pale_
That's it for just now...hopefully won't spend too much over the next few daysStarted PADdin' 13/04/09 paid £7486.66 - CC free 02/11/10
Aim for 2011 - pay off car loan £260.00 saved

Yesterday was not a good day for me. I was at work, happily learning lots about my new job when the horrible pain I had a month or so back came back with a bang. I could barely stand upI ended up going home (hence the taxi) and my flatmate was so worried she called NHS24. I ended up seeing a lovely doctor at the local hospital who thinks I have gallstones. I need to see my GP and arrange a scan and if I do have them it's keyhole surgery for me  Apparently it can be set off with fatty foods, so the nice pub lunch we had may have done me in. Low fat diet Chez Fresian for the forseeable future. Bah.
So, I was ill in front of new colleagues (urgh), missed my planned night out with the girls and missed the chance to get a lift to the courier depot to get LEGO Harry Potter. *sob*
Hopefully today will be better. I'm shattered as I didn't get to sleep till about 4am while I was waiting for the pain to subside, but I'm going to give work a bash anyway. I'm still very much learning and don't want to waste the opportunity. Right, time to read the papers online and sort out Farmville. I couldn't even face farming last night....!!!
