  • I'm due June 23rd. Not long for you now! Wishing you all the best for the delivery. Are you feeling ok about it - I was terrified!!! But it all went fine.

I had no idea they sold maternity wear in matalan - is it any good? I think I can get away without a coat, but may need a spring jacket later in the year.

The ball was fun, I managed to stay up til 130 which is unheard of at the mo! The bejewelled sack dress meant no-one guessed I was pregnant (at least, I assume they didn't as a few kept trying to get me to drink shots, which I politely declined!). I even did 10 minutes on the dance floor! Had to sleep A LOT the next day to make up for it though!

Had dinner round friend's house last night and they didn't seem to notice either - I am trying to hide it as I am only 10 weeks (+ 4 days now!).

£12 spent today from pocket money on work lunch out. Get paid on Thursday, and still have £15 left in pocket money, which is the first time in months I haven't trashed it all! I do need to sponsor a few movembers though, which may cost me!

Exhausted now, in bed with stuffed feeling head. Hoping hot bath and early night will let me get through the week.

    Nearly 12 weeks now, exciting!

I showed early too and I found for work that wearing a black top and trousers, a cardigan and crucially a scarf, even just a thin one, hid bump really well. Something about the long line of the scarf drew the eye away from belly. My students didn't start to comment until about 14 weeks though by which time I'd had my scan so didn't mind them knowing.

It's funny, when I had ds1 there wasn't a routine 12 week scan like there is now and I don't remember everyone feeling so anxious about getting there. Nearly there now though :D

Hi MW If it helps I also had a bit of a maternity wear splurge on about 5 items from ebay (only about £20, but it felt like an enormous splurge at the time!). I found it was the bottoms that were the hardest and I had to get my mum to put inserts into the maternity skirts and trousers in the end cause even they didn't cut it! I know you are feeling tired, heres hoping you get a surge of energy soon!

I am so glad it is the weekend! Has been a pretty exhausting week at work, have some big deadlines coming up all at once. Also was really out of sorts on Wednesday, felt miserable all day and ended up in tears at home. Thursday was much better, and yesterday I had a medical appointment for DD so ended up out the office all day, which I needed. I do however have to write a blog post for work this weekend :( which is hanging over me already. OH is out tonight so I will try and bash something out. It is hard to feel inspired at the minute though!

The hospital appointment took longer than expected but it worked well in the end as they had a special fun day to celebrate the launch of a new website. There was a magician, and two shows - one on guts, and another on bubbles. DD loved it and was delighted not to have to go into school ;).

We gave her the playmobil advent calendar I bought back in sep from a grabbit, and she is over the moon with it!

I have told my line manager about the pregnancy, which he was very positive about, that is a relief. We've also told our housemate, who is very happy for us both. We plan to treat DD to cake in a local cafe and tell her today, I am very nervous!

£207.01 standard OP paid off the mortgage .

I have a list as long as my arm of things I need to do this weekend. I was thinking of not posting it, but tbh I am stressed about what needs doing with or without a list, so here goes:
    • [STRIKE]tell dd about baby bean[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]sort out basket of doom. must find notes on event I helped out on![/STRIKE] Found them! :j
    • type up notes on event and email to event organiser
    • write blog for work
    • [STRIKE]ask dd to make xmas origami for front of xmas card[/STRIKE] Have asked her, whether she does it or not is another thing!
    • [STRIKE]transfer money to joint account[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]post amazon parcel[/STRIKE]
    • post boots for fixing (MUST get this out the way!)
    • [STRIKE]washload x [STRIKE]3[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]2[/STRIKE] 1[/STRIKE]
    • change bedding x [STRIKE]2[/STRIKE] 1
    • [STRIKE]email friend with dinner date[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]buy presents for OH's family[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]tidy hall[/STRIKE]
    • put clean clothes away in bedroom
    • [STRIKE]walk Sunday (if weather cheers up)[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]hoover [/STRIKE]and mop downstairs floor
    • dust and hoover bedroom
    • [STRIKE]take bag of toys to charity[/STRIKE]
    • finish sorting dd's room
    • write 2 ciao reviews
      [STRIKE]
    • advent comps x 15 x [STRIKE]2 days[/STRIKE] 1 day[/STRIKE]

Hope everyone is well, and has good weekends.

I hope you are taking time out to relax as well, good luck with telling DD about the baby, perhaps she will inform you whether she wants a brother or sister like our dd did.:D

oh, I already know she wants a baby sister! Although tbh having seen her with baby boys I think she won't mind whatever turns up in the end! Did DD get what she wanted?

    Hey MW,

just to reiterate my earlier words :

Maternity clothes are exempt from the Clothes Challenge so just make sure that you're comfortable & feel good :D

Also, I'm the last person you should grovel to, have you seen what I've spent this year :o:rotfl:.

I seem to remember that you were the only person to come in under the original £100 budget on the first challenge so :A

Your list is a bit scary, however, sometime just writing stuff down make it seem more manageable. Do what you can & don't worry about what you can't.

    Have a lovely weekend
    xx
