Get well soon, mw. You must be ill if you can't even get to the charity shop! :rotfl:

I think I was such an emotional wreck at our scan as we lost our first babies together so it was such a relief. Great that it's all out in the open now, do you look pregnant yet? (I know you will to you so not that easy to answer objectively!)

Definitely showing a lot! It is my second after all ;). I have only a few things I can wear for work, so sorting out maternity wardrobe becoming a priority. I did see a beautiful dress in next, want a discount voucher/code if possible (or at least free delivery!).

Feeling slightly better today - not enough to go into town to meet friend as planned :( but will get out of the house for a bit at the very least.

ETA: Main MS news is that DD asked her dad if we could use her old buggy for baby bean (why he has it in the first place I'm not quite sure!). He said yes as he was planning to get rid of it anyway, so we now have a free buggy! It is a mountain buggy 3 wheeler, great for outdoors, camping, walks etc so really pleased to have it back.

  • Thanks tilly and pammy, have been feeling a bit down about MS the last few days so thanks for posting. Money seems to have been slipping through our fingers of late. We did xmas nibbles at ours which OH ended up spending over £100 on :eek:! This included £30 of cheese and crackers, which he now admits was a little excessive (especially as I can't eat the vast majority of cheese now taking up our fridge!). I fell on stairs in the tube last week when taking two bottles of wine into work as gifts. Both smashed, so had to spend another £14 on wine :(:(. I also forgot my annual travelcard, and got a 1 day papercard for a tenner - which I can claim back. I have now however LOST the blinking ticket, so another tenner wasted.

The dress I was in love with has instantly sold out in the Next sale :( It is the black ponte maternity dress in a size 10 if anyone sees it please please buy it for me and i will reimburse you. damn my cheapskate ways, I should have just bought it full price a few days ago.

Sorry for the winge, I am just a little down and tired. Must snap out of it, don't want to ruin xmas for the family.

Hi Museumworker, take it easy! Don't worry about being MS, these things happen, and it's because we're frugal that we take them in our stride - imagine if you had CC debts or couldn't afford some replacement bottles!

I'm just glad you or the lo weren't hurt when you fell over!

And you can take all the spare cheese and crackers into work in late Jan early Feb (it will probably keep that long) and give your colleagues a nice Jan pick me up :)

Merry Christmas, and keep your chin up!
