Thanks all, I am feeling much better now, and a work cheese fest sounds like just the trick
. I did a pregnancy yoga dvd yesterday for the first time (thanks courgette!), and that helped get me out of that rubbish frame of mind. I must admit I always feel a bit down around Xmas. Popped around a friend's house for some nibbles last night, and watched our lovefilm, sunshine cleaning. Woke up early with a bit of a nightmare, so decided to pop online and wish you all a very merry christmas. Thanks for reading, and I hope you all have a fantastic, relaxing day.

Had a lovely Xmas day, went for a family cycle to the local marshes, and took DD on the road for the first time on her bike. Really enjoyed it. OH cooked a lovely dinner, turkey, ham and loads of sides. Too stuffed for Xmas pudding! It was really relaxing, and felt like it was the first time we had switched off all holiday. DD loved all her gifts, and I had lots of lovely treats too, especially from OH and DD. Neighbours came over in the evening and ended up being a bit of a late one. Yesterday we baked a cake and went over to a friends for an evening buffet which was really nice.
Today went over to sisters and had a day with them - lovely turkey pie and all the trimmings. Took a trip into new westfield on the way to see if we could get a new fridge freezer on heavy markdown - sadly no. Ours keeps icing up and OH needs to go at it with a knife to be able to open the drawer. We've had it 5 years now (but still will never buy bosch again!). A pain but not an emergency so we will keep shopping around. I did buy some maternity clothes from topshop, half price in the sale, a pair of blue chinos, a stripy blue t shirt and a black and white stripy jumper dress. £50 spent , I am however desperate for clothes for work and that is another 2 outfits sorted.
Work tomorrow:(:( although at least it is only 3 days til the long weekend. On that note, off to watch another few episodes of misfits, one of our xmas presents.

It's the end of the year!! Hasn't that come quick? Expect a bigger post looking back at achievements, and a new diary with new goals. BUT I have a bread to make (so I can turn it into a ginger bread and butter pudding by tonight !) and a post office to get to, so in the meantime just wanted to let you all know:
Mortgage balance as of today is £174,995.97 :j:j:j
This means we (just) met our target of below £175K, that is £15K off since march.
Edit: now the fact that we're only £111.31 off a round £12K OP for 2011 is annoying me! Will check with OH if he is happy for me to transfer that much from savings. So my actual balance may be a bit lower by the end of the dayMortgage [STRIKE]16/03/2011: £190K 01/01/2017: £107,729.65 [/STRIKE] 01/07/2017: £95,979.89

mmmmm..... bread and butter pudding sounds yummy!!0 -
Hi MuseumWorker, you have done brilliantly. You must be delighted to see the numbers drop and I can see why you would want to round the numbers up to a neat £12k. Good luck in 2012.

OH agreed - another £111.31 off the mortgage, so a nice round £12K off the mortgage in 2011!
