Hi MW :hello:
Just catching up with your diary and saw your fabulous news! Congratulations!!!
Take care and feet up x0 -
How funny Sarah, it must have been a shock! Interesting how we go about things different ways, I love the certainty of a pregnancy test result (although saying that I don't always believe them anyway!).
macgirl - great to hear from you, I was only wondering the other day how you are doing! How are things with you - are you still DF? Any plans to start a new diary (perhaps to tackle your mortgage?). Would like more feet up opportunities but hard with the FT job, and OH having been away. But am extremely happy (if extremely tired at the mo!).
OH is now home :j! So pleased to see him. He had yesterday off and painted our front step with masonry paint. It hasn't dried (it being November, and damp) and some leaflet deliverer has now trailed it all up the street. Additionally our radiator in the bathroom is pooling water, beyond the chuck a towel round it stage so we now have to get an emergency plumber in to sort it out. Hope he manages to control the sound of panic in his voice so we don't get fleeced!

£120 for the plumber :eek::eek:! Flaming nora.
At least it is fixed (as is the dogy tap in sink), and OH is now on his way to work, so only 1/2 a days leave used. OH did get numbers of 2 recommended plumbers, but they didn't get back to him as yet. We have their details though which we will keep as we are considering redoing our bathroom in the next year or two.Mortgage [STRIKE]16/03/2011: £190K 01/01/2017: £107,729.65 [/STRIKE] 01/07/2017: £95,979.89

Thanks eg, it is one of those things that go with owning a house. OH had tried turning radiator off, and tightening it but it didn't help. With the amount that was coming out it couldn't really be left until we'd figured out what to do. We could have damaged the floorboards/ceiling.
I am feeling ok. Am absolutely exhausted, falling asleep regularly and at work people are telling me I look shattered. I am also hungry ALL THE TIME and get bouts of queasiness, just an uncomfortable sicky feeling really. But hopefully will pass in the next 5-7 weeks...Mortgage [STRIKE]16/03/2011: £190K 01/01/2017: £107,729.65 [/STRIKE] 01/07/2017: £95,979.89

Take it easy, it will soon be the weekend,
Squirrel:jPaid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
Still thrifty though, after all these years:D0 -
Yay - it IS the weekend!
Busy evening and morning, baking for DD's Badger's Xmas bazaar. Made flapjacks, lemon drizzle loaf with sunken chocolate chunks, and vanilla cupcakes with vanilla buttercream topping. Helped out on one of the stalls, all in all helped raise over £500. It is the first time I've helped out at one of the events (it is the first event they've had since we joined), and the organisers appreciated it sooo much! We made sure we bought some things, took part in tombola, bought cakes etc, and we won £20 Mr S voucher on raffle, and a little perfume bottle for DD which was lovely. Will keep voucher for Xmas, with £5 I had for complaining about soggy sarnie we now have £25 to get something nice then.
Did weekly shop - £50 at Mr S - now home, and knackered! About to watch a movie with DD, round the neighbours for tea later.
Should really ebay something but am soo tired now after 3 hour stint at fete don't think I can!Mortgage [STRIKE]16/03/2011: £190K 01/01/2017: £107,729.65 [/STRIKE] 01/07/2017: £95,979.89

Isn't it great when people appreciate that you have joined in? Makes you so likely to help in the future and congrats on the win. Hope that you are having a quiet evening of enjoyment.0

Aw xmas fete sounds lovely!! I get so excited about xmas I love this time of year!
well done on the voucher wins, hope the movie and tea was good - just the kind of thing thats needed once the nights draw in!
ps did a shred earlier.....was waaaaaaaaaaaay harder than I remembered!! :rotfl:0 -
yes lovely to be appreciated. DD came home with a letter yesterday to say thanks for being the only badger who came! I hope more take part next time.
I think the shred would kill me now - it is easier when you do it daily/every other day though, shows how quickly your stamina increases with regular exercise.
£8.06 OP made with Ama$on sales. Had a good night out with some friends last night, one who is 16 weeks pregnant and was amazed I could make it out for dinner! £17 from pocket money spent, good food and great company.
Feeling a bit rubbish tonight. OH has potentially sold his camera, will get £177 after fees. However, he has his heart set on a new one, which he's found body only for £500 - apparently a good deal. Which means we need to spend another £320 odd quid on one, and as he blogs about photography he can't wait to get it. I wouldn't even budget to get him something that expensive for Xmas.
Also, the car is making a funny noise with the left rear brake, and so OH is putting it in for a winter service. £170, plus extra for the brake pads if needed.
It just feels like we have one unexpected payment after another at the moment. I know I shouldn't moan, I should feel happy but I'm worried about our MFW dream, and what our finances will be like after the baby.Mortgage [STRIKE]16/03/2011: £190K 01/01/2017: £107,729.65 [/STRIKE] 01/07/2017: £95,979.89
