That's rather a lot for someone who's poorly! Well done though, little and often. I'm thinking of getting a maxi dress myself - my BF is getting married 4 days before my due date so obviously I have no idea whether I'll actually be pg or not! Thought a maxi-dress might be the ideal solution. Can you pull them down fairly easily for breast-feeding?
    Updating soon...
  • well done mw on your challenge.. but sorry you are feeling poorly- having just had a 3 month illness this yr which Im still getting over, I understand the wish to push yourself and feeling low about feeling poorly , but a couple of days in bed and resting totally (am rubbish at this so hypocritical to suggest!) might mean a quicker recovery in the long run!!

    look after yourself

courgette- good luck with the wedding -dress (couldnt think of other way to phrase that!) I would think a maxi dress should do the trick!

    Hi museumworker,

    Hope you get well soon..

I am also thinking on buying a maxi dress.. don't have any atm but not sure if they will suit me...

I spent an hour last night sorting through laundry.... DH has been assigned the task to wash them in the WM now:mad:

This one I got is bias cut, and very thin straps so needs a strapless bra... not ideal for breast feeding! Has been so long since I've done that, I found that things you could put baby under, like a top, helped, that a big pashmina to wrap over you. Perhaps if you found one loose enough to slip down, with a cross over bit on the chest you might get away with it? Would be a good choice to cover the bump, and there are so many pretty ones in the shops at the minute. Plus you could live in it in the summer...

Thanks TYO, I definitely need to learn to be a human being rather than a human doing... tomorrow I plan to do very little, as I really want to get back to the office by Friday. Am rubbish at doing little though.

Thanks for the good wishes MQ :). Maxi dresses are meant to suit everyone, every shape and size. Think it helps if you have bangers, as Gok would say :D, but have more up and down friends who look great in them too. I am 5Ft 3in, so if I can get away with one anyone can!

Our main problem is putting the darn laundry away, we have two massive IKEA bags full of clean laundry in our bedroom at the minute. I have put OH's away, but still have my own and DD's to do .... will have to wait til tomorrow..

A terrible night... felt so anxious and stressed couldn't sleep, had loads of crazy grim thoughts, and woke up 4.30am with stomach cramps. DD doesn't want to go out with MIL today, but had to put my foot down and insist, feel sick with tiredness :(

Sorry to hear that earthgirl, I think Courgette said on another thread that she also had a bad nights sleep - perhaps something to do with the moon? Or being obsessive MFW types? :rotfl:

Thanks setmefree2, where do you get all of these images from??

Day with DD and MIL out of the house has helped lots. I have rested a lot more than yesterday. Finally called the CSA and moved the payment to the joint account. I used saynoto0870 to find a cheaper way of calling them, what a brilliant website, felt very :money: doing that!

I then balanced up my old NatWest account, and as soon as my new A&L card arrives (this is my new personal account), I will close the Natwest and be FREE!

Day 3 of 100 day challenge have put 2 old phone chargers and some ear phones on freecycle and recycled about 20 family history leaflets. Have emailed people back re: the two items that went on the other day, but haven't come as yet. Will work out the numbers next time.

    ETA:
    27-40 Family history leaflets recycled
    41-2 old phone chargers
    43-4 headphones for airline

Someone on RISI has requested a swap, however I don't really want any of their books :(, anyone know what the etiquette is here?

OH going to take MIL out for dinner tonight, not very MSE, but it has been a bit tense in the house and I think a treat and a change of scene will show her that we appreciate her. Hopefully a friend will pop over for tea. I'm determined to go to work tomorrow, don't feel that much better but can't sit around the house AGAIN!

ETA: most important bit! After 18 months of putting it off, just applied for life insurance for me, quote is via Cavendish for £6.47 :j. HOWEVER, as I have history of depression, needs to be referred, so not sure whether will affect the quote. I hate disclaiming all of the stuff, but feel I should incase they invalidate the insurance. OH's quote is coming in at £12.73, he is currently paying £30 for a single policy, so our outgoings will reduce but cover will increase! Have gone via Cavendish, so will have £35 fee (x2) to pay, but worked out so much cheaper over the longer term that it is worth it.
