LOL do you know how easy it is to get SS, I know loads of people in my ANC getting it who work and a good wage too. You only have to qualify for just over the family element.

Why would it cost almost £700? A baby doesn't "need" £500 worth of equipment.

Perfectly decent question. Staceydaisey don't take any heed to this lot - most of them are trolls who need to get a life.

I have no idea how easy it is to claim the maternity grant. Hence why I asked the question.

I assumed that two wages would exclude you.

Nope it's dead easy to get you only have to getting more than the basic family element which goes up quite high I believe until it tapers off.

I must be thinking of something else then. I thought that if you qualified for SMP (which I'm also assuming you do?) that you can't get the maternity grant?
