^^ Hadn't seen the video when I started this thread, it was still quite hazy up until that point.... It all happened so damn quickly and then it was straight into an argument about the car she claimed to have been following, the car that didn't exist!

I was 4 or 5 cars back from the front, with 2 cars behind me and this woman was behind those. I can only guess that as I stopped for the traffic, the others behind stopped and she just assumed we all wanted to double park down the street.....

I think the other poster interpreted what you said very well :T
The only think he/she omitted was the parked stuff, which is pretty much irrelevant.

Ther's an old adage that you would do well to remember Strider and this is without trying to be condescending, "expect the unexpected", do that and you should fair better. ;)
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed

To other posters, cut the racial angle it isn't needed, to Stryder, stop digging. ;)

Have you cut down the video yet? If you didnt move right at all into her path, she must be a right one.
My own worry would be if you HAVE moved right (the video should show you didnt and exonerate you completely) you could have taken out a motorbike carrying out a perfectly acceptable maneuver.
Even a shadowed google earth would be better than nothing if you could.
Was this queue at a junction? And said lady was turning right? where as the queue (or some of them) were turning left?

If it's acceptable to overtake me on a motorbike while I'm in a queue waiting to overtake a parked car it could be painful.

Unfortunately Mikey it's about whether the op pulled out or the other driver "pulled in" The highlighted bit is the issue ;)

Why? You would be waiting, you would use your mirror, you would signal, check your blind spot and make your move. Then either I would see your intentions and stop, or you would see me and wait.
It would only be painful if you didnt do what you should do and I didnt anticipate you doing it.

Or you could assume as a good motorcyclist that I'm one of the poorer drivers that has been waiting behind a car, and pulls out when there is a gap in the oncoming traffic, like all the cars if front of me have, and all the cars behind are waiting to do.

Thats where the anticipation comes in.

If the OP has pulled out and been hit by a passing car (who I agree should not necessarily have been there) then I cannot see all the blame being passed to the passing car.

At worst the OP might end up being found to be at fault.
