And in contrast I post this on another forum and all the opinions are entirely the opposite to this one...... I've been using internet forum's since they were invented, I know all too well how it works!

Ok gist of what i got, you couldent continiue as car were parked your side of road, so you waited, as soon as road free you pulled out and someone crashed into you.

My opinion, the other person is in the wrong, she didnt realise you were part of the traffic and so over took you.
I all have learnt is from others on many sites.

    How what works?

Am I correct in my assumption that you had not pulled out and were moving forward and this woman somehow swerved into part of your car?

YOu know when you pull over to let a car through as you both cant get past, I think its like that.

He pulled over to let a car go past, couldent see so moved out and thats when the car came from behind and hit him.

I've had something similar happen, although my car wasn't hit ... we're all in a queue of traffic waiting to pull out of a junction. Cars are parked on the right hand side of the road, we (in the queue) are on the left hand side of the road. We are all starting to move forward as someone has managed to pull out of the junction, and some dippy wally thinks we're all parked (?) and tries to overtake the lot of us .. d'oh ..

The way you describe it though, it seems you'd all moved over to the left and behind you there was enough room for her to pass the other cars then hit yours, that to get a better view of the road ahead you moved more towards the centre of the road and she hit you.
In my mind its her fault for overtaking but then if we all drove perfectly we'd be checking both mirrors before moving off like this looking for cyclists etc.

I've had similar things happen at temporary traffic lights.

You pulled out without indicating, checking your blind spot or looking in your mirrors.......and you think it's someone else's fault that you had an accident?

    Erm.....good luck with that!

What if a cyclist had been there?

Always use your mirrors - they aren't there for decoration you know.

And from the looks of it, this is the second car accident you have had this year.

You need to pay more attention behind the wheel.

Stop pointing the finger at others and start looking at your own mistakes. Use your signals. Use your mirrors and pay attention. Don't pull out unless it's safe and keep a safe and steady distance from other drivers. A car is a danger to others if you are driving so poorly.

Probably wouldn't have damaged the car as badly.
