Some people are too stupid to have a licence!!

I'm with strider on this, our village has the same problem, and there are people that don't want to wait, and will pass the waiting cars, and try to push their way through on the wrong side of the road.
I did have a cyclist pass me on the right a couple of weeks ago, and I nearly got him, I stopped in time, he got a shock. But it was too close for comfort.0 -
I posted similar recently. Parked cars on my side meant the traffic had to continually stop to let cars on other side who had right of way, pass. Numpty at the back couldn't see up ahead and decided everyone in front of him must have just been parked (despite the fact the parked cars were at the kerb and the rest of us were near the centre line). I saw him in my mirror but the bloke ahead of me had already started pulling out and forward when this idiot came up alongside him. How they missed each other I will never know.
OP, the woman in your post was clearly at fault but the insurance may lay a percentage of blame at your door for not checking your mirror before trying to edge round the car in front of you. If you had looked, you could have taken action to avoid her, by simply stopping your manoeuver.
Personally I'd have wanted to wring her neck for being dim and completely unaware of the road and other road users.Herman - MP for all!0 -

Camera is for incase some idiot pulls a stunt like this, i've witnessed a lot of bad driving over the last 6 months and I decided that for the sake of £15 a cheap video camera could save me a lot of money.
You seem about to find out.
Unfortunately, although I have a good deal of sympathy with you, you have made the fatal error of assuming the world isn't made up of idiots.0 -
The way I read it you are in a queue of cars and some impatient women can't wait for the rest of the queue in front of her so tries to overtake everyone and jump the queue is this right?Nothing to see here, move along.0

She assumed we were all parked because we'd moved over to allow traffic to flow the other way.... I have to be honest I was sat in this queue once before and I swear it was this same woman who overtook everyone in the queue....
She just was not paying attention, she tried to claim she was "following the car in front" when the camera shows that there was no such car.
She overtook 2 cars before she got to me, I didn't see her until it was wayyyyy too late, because of a) her speed b) she wasn't actually directly behind me to begin with.
She should not have been overtaking167
DO NOT overtake where you might come into conflict with other road users. For example- approaching or at a road junction on either side of the road
- where the road narrows
- when approaching a school crossing patrol
- between the kerb and a bus or tram when it is at a stop
- where traffic is queuing at junctions or road works
- when you would force another road user to swerve or slow down
- at a level crossing
- when a road user is indicating right, even if you believe the signal should have been cancelled. Do not take a risk; wait for the signal to be cancelled
- stay behind if you are following a cyclist approaching a roundabout or junction, and you intend to turn left
- when a tram is standing at a kerbside tram stop and there is no clearly marked passing lane for other traffic

The car in front is either parked or slow to move, but I can't get round them as there's nowhere to go, I look round and see the traffic start to move so I edge forward to get a better view around that car and this stupid bint comes from behind overtaking the queue (obviously thinking we're all parked) and hits the side of my car!!!
Now she's obviously trying to claim it's my fault!
Clearly got her licence from a box of Frostie's!
You were 2nd in a que and couldn't decide if the car in front was parked up or slow to move????, which was it?
You then had to pull out, after looking round??
Sorry Strider, but you didn't look around well enough.
She made an elimentary mistake, but so did you based on your account.
And I don't follow the crowd either:)
Pass the rice crispies pleaseI like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed0 -

I was 4 or 5 cars back from the front, with 2 cars behind me and this woman was behind those. I can only guess that as I stopped for the traffic, the others behind stopped and she just assumed we all wanted to double park down the street.....“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

Strider, any chance of uploading the video?0

Have you cut down the video yet? If you didnt move right at all into her path, she must be a right one.
My own worry would be if you HAVE moved right (the video should show you didnt and exonerate you completely) you could have taken out a motorbike carrying out a perfectly acceptable maneuver.
Even a shadowed google earth would be better than nothing if you could.
Was this queue at a junction? And said lady was turning right? where as the queue (or some of them) were turning left?0 -

If she was overtaking how did she hit you?
I still don't understand that bit.
Did she swerve into you or did you pull out into her path?0
