really need some advice

hi all, i am at my wits end,

last week a teacher at my sons school who has been reported by me on several occasions for badgering,intimidating etc my sons, finally snapped last week and held my son by the throat, which left a few marks, i called the police and they took a statement, but my other son told me that this teacher was still in school yesterday, i couldn't get in touch with the head for 2 days and when i did he said he couldn't talk to me has he had been advised not to, eventually when he did talk to me he said my son shouldn't come into school until today but he would phone , well he phoned this morning and said my son has been suspended for 3 weeks and he can't tell me why has he is writing a letter, but my son had breeched school policy????, the police went to arrest this teacher on monday, i have now told the head my children will not be returning the school and i thought that suspending my child was a disgrace, has he hadn't done anything???

can someone please advise?

thanks:mad::mad::mad:

  • That's outrageous. Just outrageous.
    Look around online and find contact details for the LEA and your school's Board of Governors. I'd phone and take notes of everything said and names.
    There's no harm in calling your local paper either.

    Maybe your son has breached school policy? I'm not advocating what this teacher has allegedly done, but there are two sides to every story and it's possible that your son instigated this.

    it sounds like your son has done something WAY wrong along the line!...Im not saying the teacher was right BUT..I think you need to hear the other side of the story x

    That is a serious suspension, 1 day, 1 week but 3 weeks????

    Are you sure you're getting the whole story from your son? What did he do to finally make the teacher snap?

    I don't condone for one minute the actions of the teacher but children are notorious for coming home and only telling one side of the story, for a 3 week suspension there has to be more to it than the teacher just snapping at your son for no reason.

    If your son "hasn't done anything", then what instigated it?

    You've only heard one side of the story. I suggest you find out the other before you start throwing round accusations. If you don't, you could be made to look very foolish.

    mrcow, i know exactly what happened 3 children have all made the same statement, when my child was brought home that day, they never once mentioned what this teacher had done, but my son got away from this teacher and went straight to reception, i still haven't recieved any apology or explanation.

    When the head has said your son has "Breached school policy" has he told you what your son is meant to have done? Or is he still being advised not to talk to you? Also if you dont mind me asking is this primary or secondary school?
