I agree. I've been doing surveys for over ten years, but my enthusiasm for VO is waning.Rapidly.

Is this not just part of a weakening of survey sites in general, I've noticed many I'm signed up to have become seriously lacking this year - Opinion World used to be brilliant, paid surveys nearly every day but now has very few paid surveys, Vivatec has halved its payments, MySurvey has been quiet for a while. I'm thinking the glory days of good money from surveys could be over (unless there's some busy survey site I'm missing out on?)

I am tempted to take my earnings and close the account. They ignored my objection to their reply.

I joined Opinion World back in 2001, aaaages ago! I got decent paid surveys for about the first few months/a year then they all turned into various types of prize draws, I left in 2004 and had not had more then one paid survey from them between 2002-2004. I can't help wondering how many other surveys work in the same way- paying for the first few months or year or so before tailing off.

Well, I've struck Ipsos off my list. No indication of a reward till you click through to the survey, and when you do, it's almost always a chance (huh!) of winning one of three prizes of 10,000 points. Big deal!

I wrote and said I do not do surveys for prize draws. My time is valuable, and you pay for it (but put rather more politely!). There was no change in the invitations I received, so out I went.

They used to be good, but not lately, should change their name to Unvalued Opinions. I've been a member for about 5 years and when I complained about missing rewards they used to sort it out fairly quickly but in the last year or so they've become awful. I've just sent my third message to them about several missing rewards, two from more than 6 months ago and I fully expect to be ignored again. Soon as they put amazon vouchers back I'll probably cash out and leave, but I have £13 credit plus the £5 or so missing rewards, don't really want them having £8 that's mine.

Someone a few posts up asked about "survey started", after a survey that they'd completed, I had one of those and that was in the list of problems that I sent but I expect they'll claim I didn't finish. I keep a very careful record (screenshots with the particpation id) of all the surveys I do, I noticed they started showing participation history a while back so I screenshot that too. I've also got one in there that says "Fully complete not rewarded" no idea what that's all about.

I'm the same about using the phone, I have to psyche myself up if I have to ring anyone, and I never answer my landline or my mobile unless I know who it is. I don't see why you should have to justify yourself to patronising comments telling you to "put it behind you and move on with your life" either. Some people just don't like using the phone, for whatever reason, and you already said you didn't want to go into why, so shouldn't be forced into it with rude comments from other people.

I find it extremely difficult to use the phone, too, due to anxiety and other mental health issues. Before I read these posts I thought it was just me! PALS are pressing me to call them and I really don't feel able to..:(

Anyway, I digress! I wanted to say Valued Opinions still don't have Amazon vouchers as an option. I have been checking for the last week or 2 and the message is still up there saying Amazon vouchers are not available at the moment and to either choose another voucher, or just keep checking back.

One of the things I like about the amazon vouchers is that it's instant, - you don't have to wait for weeks for them to arrive in the post, so I am loathe to choose another vouchers option. Is it worth me emailing them, do you think?

Not sure if they have improved for all vouchers but I ordered a Sainsbury one middle of last month and it arrived within 2 weeks so not all bad.

I'm pretty sure Amazon vouchers have gone missing temporarily before and have come back. Not that it's an issue for me as I've not had any surveys from them for weeks to get close to cashing out
