The good news: Amazon vouchers are back :j

The bad news: I only thought to check after I'd just bought something on Amazon
Thank you so much, I've been waiting for this to order my next £10 voucher :)

  • Valued Opinions have a great program that gives you instant notifications when they launch a new survey.

However, after installing it, I was unable to access many secure websites. After a few days of trying to diagnose the problem, I learnt that the Valued Opinions Notify program was either blocking or monitoring the secure websites which is why they wouldn't load up.

    After uninstalling, everything worked perfectly.

    Anyone else found this issue?

Oh yes, I certainly have had "issues" surrounding the survey tracker. From crashing a game, to totally freezing my laptop, this caused no end of fun.

Happilly deleted it, and no problems since.
  • I am so fed up with valued opinions  Is it just me or when you get close to claiming £10, it gets 100 times harder to be included in a survey. I have been stuck on £8.75 for over a months now. I get surveys almost every day, sometimes more than once a day which I complete.

It tells you how long they should take to do at the beginning and I would imagine being a heavy computer user I am quite fast at it. However I seem to get screened out on the last 25% of the surveys, so they have nearly all my answer and then kick me at the end.

I have e-mailed them about this and they are ignoring my mails. I must have started at least 30 surveys since I hit £8.75. Actually I am pretty sure it's more than 30 surveys, but I don't want to be over dramatic, I am going to start counting as of now. I just did most of a 40 minute £1.50 survey on utilities and got kicked again! By the time I finished there were two more 75p surveys, which I clicked on and it tells me I have already completed them.

Having far better luck with my survey, since they pay out £5 vouchers I seem to earn them very quickly and don't have nearly as many problems with being screened out.

I just feel like Valued Opinions don't want to pay me.
So so SO tired of being ripped off, and mislead
    Hope sharing saves some pain.

I haven't tried that but it sounds disgusting. Sounds like it would make shopping online insecure. I suspect they are using it to monitor where you are going online. Won't be installing that on my computer.

Have you looked at your "participation history" as this will show you what was recorded against each survey. Occasionally I have found some surveys take a while before you get your rewards.

My history shows lots of surveys for which I didn't receive points for various reasons but I am fairly happy with them
as had £60 this year and almost enough for another £10.

I have had a look in my participation history, since 05/11/2012 it says I have 25 surveys I have participated in that have not been completed. Most of them say 'survey started' but it doesn't describe what this means. From my point of view, I have never ditched a survey half way through, I have always been screened out for one reason or another. This would be fair enough if it was at the beginning of the survey, but it's usually when I have nearly completed it.

In my rewards statement, the last time I was credited for completing a survey was on 30/10/2012. I have been consistently doing surveys at least every other day since then. I am aware that sometimes it takes a while for rewards to show up, but in this case they never let me get to the end of a survey. I have had double the amount of vouchers from My Survey this year than I have had from Valued Opinions.

Sorry for the rant, I'm just really fed up  There is a media survey waiting for me now. I don't know if I dare click it.

  • Has anyone ever ordered John Lewis vouchers before? I was going to order 9 as I've been saving up for a while to put towards a TV over christmas, but I didn't realise they were posted to you, unlike the Amazon ones which are instant email.

Just wondering realistically how long they take to arrive? It says 28 days... don't think I can wait that long!!

I keep getting that 'survey started' when I know I've gone all the way through and completed because I have then filled in that mini satisfaction survey thing at the end so I know I've DEFINITELY completed the surveys. However - I do get credited with quite a few surveys. More than I don't get paid for which is why I keep doing them - have been saving Amazon vouchers and had £40 just in the last few months since Summer which really helps with Christmas.

I have tried contacting support about the 'survey started' message but only ever get an automated response back.
