    Well if phoning a helpline that is there for that exact purpose is too much effort, he can't want the money that badly so put it behind you and move on with your life.
    I suspect that there are good reasons for this gentleman being reluctant to use the telephone. Without knowing the whys and wherefores - and there is no reason whatsoever why we should be told on here - it is a little precipitate to imply criticism, I think.

    Hi, funnyguy. Evidently you've missed me for a couple of years. You're still as full of fun, I see! :)

    I must admit I would be the same a thriftymanc's hubby. If I can contact someone without using the phone I wont use it. I just don't like it to the point that I no longer have a mobile and will screen house calls to make sure I definitely know who the person is on the other end. If (official calls) people will talk to my OH for me then that's fine, and more than once I have had his name put on file for people to speak to rather than me, but I wont use the phone unless absolutely necessary. My family all know they are better off just emailing or texting.

    Thanks for the constructive comments. Don't see why I need to explain it really but OH has always had anxiety about using the phone, he won't even talk to me on the phone. Doesn't mean he doesn't care about losing the money, we just don't think it's fair that this is a website, who operate online, yet they ignore email correspondence which really should be part and parcel of choosing to run a website/putting your email address as your contact detail! If I could do a decent manly voice I'd phone up and pretend to be him... might have to get my dad to do it :)
    VO is a rare case in even OFFERING a phone number to call, it's a big positive in their favour in my opinion (even if their lack of bothering with emails slightly cancels that out). Just phone on his behalf and explain the situation, the odds are you're wasting time and energy emailing them.

    I'm the same about using the phone, I have to psyche myself up if I have to ring anyone, and I never answer my landline or my mobile unless I know who it is. I don't see why you should have to justify yourself to patronising comments telling you to "put it behind you and move on with your life" either. Some people just don't like using the phone, for whatever reason, and you already said you didn't want to go into why, so shouldn't be forced into it with rude comments from other people.

    Your not alone!

    I used to work in a call center where we'd mainly have incoming calls but would sometimes have to make out going calls to various customers who'd need to be called back. During my time at that job I had very little issue with using the phone and just got on with it but even at the same time I was working there and still today I have big issues with making calls on my own phone when its about myself.

    Somehow its not so bad when I'm calling up on behalf of someone else and a way I get around this is to sort of pretend I'd talking about someone else or calling the company in order to fix a service so its not a problem for other people. Its still not easy but it does take the edge of things IYSWIM!

    Completed a long 45 minute survey worth £2.50 that screened me out at completion.

    Emailed them and got a fob off answer - not credited nor pending

    Rather peed off

    Can't access the drinks diary either
    I have many points and feel like redeeming them and cancelling my account with them

    Been with them 6 years and have been happy - now peed off:mad:
    An average day in my life:hello: :eek::mad: :coffee::coffee::coffee::T :o :rotfl: :rotfl: :p :eek::mad: :beer:
    I am no expert in property but have lived in many types of homes, in many locations and can only talk from experience.
