The medical will not going to stop me and my son of DLA because we both are 100% genuine deaf and need 24-7 care. So, it won't affect us both anyway. I got award for lifetime with a court order appeal last time when I fight DLA for me and my son, the court ruled we both get DLA for lifetime. So, David Cameron cannot take it away from us even with court approved letter show to medical and they will accepted that our DLA can continue.

David Cameron is wrongful and he is bully all disabled peoples but like I say, all disabled peoples who are proved 100% genuine will going to fight again medical team because we are not CHEAT the system!

They can take it away from you:
On your award letter, it says that from time to time they can review peoples' awards at random.

Flight - deafness in itself is not a good enough reason for you NOT WANTING TO WORK !

I would bet every penny i had that if you lost all of your benefits you would find a job that you CAN do !

You are just a prime example of a person who is terrified at the very thought of having their benefits stopped and the simple reason why is that you are too damn reluctant to work !

Even if it affects speech? You're so judgemental.
The sooner DLA requires a medical the better

How will this stop people from spending it on what they want to?

If you are totally 100% deaf with no residual hearing how do hearing aids help? They only amplify.

My husband is profoundly deaf and uses 2 hearing aids, he worked to age 60 though. Claimed no disability benefits for it.

How do you need 24/7 care simply because of deafness? and what use is Sky multiroom if you can't hear it?

You only need to look at the Sky News website to see why people are suspicious of D L A claimants. A young man who claimed he could barely walk but played football every Sunday! Unfortunately, it does spoil things for genuine claimants.

I used to have a lovely friend who was profoundly deaf.* He had a very successful career, and also never needed to claim disability benefits. I can understand why it would be a barrier to some roles, but there are still plenty of jobs that a deaf person could do. ;)

    * So lovely I wish I'd tried harder to make it work. :o

I disagree. What the point go to work to work hard for 40 hours a week or more and pay too much taxes after taking salary home as many deaf agreed that it was very poor salary on all deaf peoples who put in a stupid crap job that the management will never promotion any deaf workers.

I earn more on the benefit than taking a job offer who only pay me £5.80 an hour (there is no way I am not working for that crap salary) So, earning £232 a week before tax but after tax will probably take home around £101 a week (where can I live on ??? How can I pay bills, foods, council tax, house rent) impossible. That's why my benefits of £700+ a month is far better than job around £404 a month!

If they taking my DLA away I will go down to solicitor and fight appeal in court. Deaf need DLA afterall.

I had told job centre many times I need £10-£12 an hour job then I will take it but not £6 an hour or less - no way!)

There is access to work for any reasonable adjustments that need to be made.

    You can probably claim WTC.

You'd take home about £197 per week after tax and NI. No idea where you got £101 from?
