Thank you to everyone who has placed information about this really sharp practice. I too have had 5 payments out of my account I am ashamed to admit (must check statement more carefully in future). After reading the forum I have rung and complained.
The young lady who answered would only agree to refunding 2 months and gave me an address to write to further complain and try and get a full refund.

Apparently in the 2nd email that they send you it says that £9.95 will be debited UNLESS you cancel. My argument to her was that I had not to the best of my knowledge received this email and it should be that I AGREE to £9.95 being taken monthly. My memory is dim but I thought this this had been introduced that the person has to agree to any transaction ie marketing etc and that it cannot not be assumed.

Needless to say I am fuming and I truly hope Vista Print sales drop in future I know that I will not be recommending them.
  • We received our credit card statement today. my husband as not been well and we have not checked as carefully as we should over the last few months. We we surprised to see that £9.95 has been deducted over the last 3 months. To our knowledge we have NOT agreed to any such deductions. We spoke to the credit card company who said they may be able to refund the money. I phoned the 0845 no. listed on the statement and it went straight into an automated service, without announcing who the company is, personally I think this adds to the poor/disgusting business practice. It does allow the facility to cancel your account with them. You will agree that it would be nice to be know that you actually have an account with a company but even better to AGREE to an account. This to my mind is just a con and rips off unsuspecting people no matter how vigilant you think you might be. My advice, DO NOT DEAL with Vistaprint.

i called 0845 67 22002 today as i had just noticed 9.95 gone out of my account. the lady i spoke with said i had been sent 2 emails from VPrewards to tell me what was occurring - i didnt receive either of them. i cancelled the membership and asked for a refund - i have been told i will receive it in 10 days - took note of her details and will check in 10 days.
    Lesson learnt!!!!
  • I recently bought 100 personalised calendars from Vista print for a work promotion. Yesterday I discovered two payments had been taken from my account for both Vprewards and Clubprem.com. I am hoping I get the same satisfaction as your other emailers once I can get hold of someone on Monday morning. I'll keep you informed.

Maybe a lesson on the use of the internet is look before you click!
It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!
(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)
  • i have just found that VP rewards have been taking 9.95 from my account for several months. I had no knowledge that I had signed up for a membership. Yes, I know I should have checked more carefully and yes, i should have checked my bank statement, but unfortunately I have been dealing with other serious family crisis and did not have time. I have phoned them and a rather vague sounding chap said he would cancel it and refund me. Have any of you actually received a refund and had your payments stopped?

    Hi,

I bought some stationery recently from Vistaprint and they ahve a new scheme for rewards...which I don't use. Apparently they signed me up to this and I got an email ( since lost) saying they would take £9.95 from my account today. The email looked suspect and the website didn't have much info on it so I assumed it to be bogus. Sure enough £9.95 taken out today. I don't have a membership No or anything to logon and cancel the account.

Is there anyway I can block them from taking anymore money from my account...assuming I can't get back what they have taken.

The original email asked for a password for access account info which is why I assumed it was bogus.

Thanks for any help..I am fuming at them!!

I also in the same position although i found today that that VPRewards had taken 4 payments from my account i immediatley phoned them and cancelled the account with my bank card used to debit my account. Then i called vistaprint on there free phone number and spoke to a human which was cool  she kindly giving me a Refund with no hastle :T. she did say it was all above board & that all the info is there. She did say that it was too easy to fall into the trap hence the refund.

Although this was anoying i am extemely happy with vistaprints service i would rate them highly for there products.

  • I discovered that my credit card had been billed by Vista Print and I googled a bit and came across this thread. Having read all of it, I sent Vista Print a friendly email explaining that I had signed up to their reward scheme by mistake and that I trusted they would put this right.
I just received this email from them:

"you for contacting VistaPrint, the Easy Design and Print Solution.

I'm more than happy with this - it's spot on customer service!
  • As with other people I have just discovered charges from VPRewards going back 9 months. Originated from an order to VistaPrint (by my wife) and she had no knowledge that she has signed up. Charges appeared under various names on the credit card bill, earlier wards.com and now VPRewards.com. I check the bill every month but missed the small amount as my wife uses the same account and I don't check every online purchase with her. Phone VistaPrint (0800 028 8251) Wednesday to complain that it may be legal but was intended to deceive and asking for money back. They offered to arrange cancel and a full refund. I was not sure of this, given some previous postings here, but received a cancellation Email on the day and money (for all payments) was back in my credit card account on Thursday.

So if it happens to you complain!
