VPRewards/Vistaprint taking my money!

  • Exactly the same thing happened to me!! the money has been coming out since November and I didn't notice till this month!!!

I called 0800 028 8251 and helpful girl told me she would cancel it for me and request a refund but told me if I wanted to call the refund people direct I should call 0845 672 2002.

I called them and said I had called the 0800 number and been given their number, told her I wasn't aware that I had signed up for anything and was upset that this money had been taken without my knowledge. Straight away she offered to credit me back with 2 months and said that was the best she could do.

I figured 2 months was better than nothing but thought I'd chance it anyway. I told her I had read countless forums where people were saying the exact same thing as me and that they had all been give a full refund so I wanted to know why I wasn't being offered the same. She said it was the best she could do but could I hold. Of course I said yes!

She put me on hold for hardly any time at all then came back and said I would see a full refund on my credit card in 10 working days!!! :T

Good luck to everyone else and remember to let them know of the different forums of people who have had a full refund :)

You must have done, it tells you at the end of the order, you order is complete, something you may now press next, then underneath states doing so signs up up to the rewards, yes it's sneaky how they do it, but it is written there on the screen, the problem is most people just press, next, next, next, or OK, OK, OK without reading on the screen what it is they are OKing or Nexting to.

It's the final OK where you think you are confirming OK again to the order as that is all done.

Ref the above, when I said I wasn't aware of having agreed to it I was told that there was an option for a "£10 cash back on your next order" which in the small print included being signed up to teh rewards scheme, so it's not all as black and white as "You must have"

There you have it, even you admit it was there, sneaky yes, but people should look at what they are clicking to accept.
It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!
(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)

  • Hi,
Just to add a note that I hope will help people that have been duped by simple orders through the company Vista Print.
I also found on my credit cards statement 2 recent withdrawals from a company called CLUBPREM.COM... it looked suspicious as I had had no dealings with them..?
I put in a Google search and came up with this site and its customer concerns over Vista Print CLUBPREM or VPREWARDS ? plus many other sites of a similar concern.
There are no points to be scored in smug replies about reading the small print at checkout... the company are clearly duping customers in what should be a simple checkout process. It's the first time I have ever had any problems with any internet purchase at all.
I have contacted my bank to block any attempts at future withdrawals by "CLUBPREM.COM" and at the same time rang the helpline at Vista Print. I explained that I was not aware that I had agreed to subscribe to their "rewards"..[who on earth would!!] and would they please arrange a refund to my credit card. The person [male] I spoke to said he would immediately cancel my subscription and arrange for a refund to my credit card in 2 payments over the next 60 days??? I have to say there was an underlying aggression in his voice and he himself should certainly claim a refund from the "Charm School". He would not give me his name or contact details so I can only hope that this money will in fact be refunded.

For anyone in a similar position, contact your bank immediately and block any future withdrawals... you are the customer and it is your account and they, the bank, provide the service. If they are not helpful [unlikely] then cancel your account as they are clearly not on your side and take your custom elsewhere.

As with other people there is no way I shall be ordering from Vista Print again.

I would be very surprised if any of the banks can prevent or block this, as its a subscription that people (maybe by accident) agree to. The bank has no say in the policy what-so-ever, it can only be canceled by the company.
    Credit card debts = £750
    Mortgage Remaining = £82227
  • Has anyone who contacted VP Rewards not been told they will get their money back and / or have the "subscription" cancelled?

I think cancelling your Bank Account is a bit drastic....
  • Hi... I did say that it would be unlikely given the circumstances that your bank would not want to assist... you are after all their customer. My bank has immediately blocked any future subscription withdrawal attempts. Why would you want to continue with a bank that sanctioned shady subscription withdrawals against your wishes and in particular after you have cancelled an agreement you were not aware of!

For what it is worth I have had email confirmation that my subscription has beencancelled and confirmation only over the phone that the money would be refunded... I can only wait and see... not right is it.

This company is clearly playing fast and loose with simple orders over the internet.

I had similar problems with Vistaprint which was a shame because their products were OK. I some how got into this rewards thing. First I knew when was debits came on the credit card. They did put one back when I called to cancel but I have stayed away from vistaprint since.
I would have thought that this cannot be a great business model for them. I do wonder though how many people are paying for the service unwittingly ...
