VPRewards/Vistaprint taking my money!

Options
Hi,

I bought some stationery recently from Vistaprint and they ahve a new scheme for rewards...which I don't use. Apparently they signed me up to this and I got an email ( since lost) saying they would take £9.95 from my account today. The email looked suspect and the website didn't have much info on it so I assumed it to be bogus. Sure enough £9.95 taken out today. I don't have a membership No or anything to logon and cancel the account.

Is there anyway I can block them from taking anymore money from my account...assuming I can't get back what they have taken.

The original email asked for a password for access account info which is why I assumed it was bogus.

Thanks for any help..I am fuming at them!!

or phone number here is the one i used i think

    quote

Also in the email was a new vprewards telephone number = 0845-67-22002 I phoned it and was amazed that it answered after only 4 rings, i was greated by a frustrated but friendly sounding lady representative from vprewards, all going well so far. After i asked her politely without getting upset, to cancel , immediatley she asked me for my name postcode, and the membership number in the last email.Within seconds she told me that it was cancelled, that was that, i thanked her and she ended the call. So it seems that vprewards know that they have slipped up and are trying to repair the damage done to the vistaprint buisiness. I hope so still WATCH THIS SPACE. My credit card statement is due in 2 weeks time. I still am not happy with the whole affair and i WILL NOT USE VISTAPRINT EVER AGAIN.

I phoned wistaprint and there is an option on their phone to go through to vprewards...the robotic voice on the end asked for various details and then said they had cancelled my membership and would refund my money. Frightening stuff as the email I got from then had dodgy links and asked for my password so I assumed (wrongly) it was a scam email. And at no time do I have a membership number or I would have cancelled it then.

I have learned my lesson well and won't be using vistaprint again!

No, the lesson you should have learnt, is not click on the button to accept the VPrewards after your order is complete.

I have ordered several times from Vista Print over the last couple of years, I simply read what I asked to click on.

At the end of the order when payment has gone through and been accepted, it says to click here to continue and enrol in the VPrewards scheme, you just simply don't click on there!
It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!

  • Having bought Christmas cards from Vistaprint last year (as I did with no problem the previous year) I have since been hit with £9.95 monthly deductions from my bank account although there is no standing order or direct debit for this that either I or my bank can cancel. My bank has stopped my card and is issuing me with a new one with a different number, which should stop the monthly evaporation. Fingers crossed.

I'd contact VP Rewards, as if it is coming off a card, even if the card has been cancelled or account closed you are still liable for money taken from it, and your bank / card issuer will still honour the payment taken.

You just fell foul of not reading what you clicked OK to at the end of the order. It says something like. "Thank you for order order, it is now complete, press OK to continue with the offer detailed above".

The offer is the VP Reward programme.

It is detailed, but many people when they see an OK button simply click it without reading what they are OKing.

  • Hi all,

    first post....

It is not only vprewards.com that took money from my account but also another company called CLUBPREM. If you go to that website the layout is exactly the same as the VPREWARDS one. They also took £9.95 each time and I've been duped for nearly £60. I only noticed last night as I get statements online and must admit I have to check them more detailed...
So far one email to vprewards bounced and the vistaprint no is only available during US opening times. The only solution my bank offered was to cancel my debit card and get a new one, which I did last night. If you Google these two reward schemes there's a whole lot more about this. I hope to sort it soon. What a nuisance and time wasting!
  • Yes, I'm another fool that didn't read the smallprint. D'oh! It's a shabby business practice and I will not be using Vistaprint again.

It's a shame as I was quite impressed with their product.
  • Well, the good news is that Vistaprint has fully refunded the money after contacting their customer service department! So, I might still use their service as I liked their products. But I will be very careful to read the small print next time and with any other company too!
