Still not had a call  I totally agree that this has been going on for too long!! Am going to give them another phone today. I will keep on at them until I get a response.Every time life knocks me down, I just stay on the ground for a bit and look up at the sky for a while. Eventually I get up and have a cup of tea.0

Good News- the inspector has phoned :j
She said that the dog will be recieving vet treatment for his legs and she will be keeping an eye on the situation to make sure he is. I let her know that he obviously wasn't recieving treatment before i took him in when i found him collapsed on the road and had been left without a vet for some time.
She also added that she's spoken to the owner about him needing access to the house for shelter from the heat if he's teathered outside. She did mention that the way he was teathered was acceptable as the leash was long enough for him to get about, but i pointed out that when i saw him he may have been able to get about but he had no means of shelter and his wounds must have been extremely painful with the sun beating down on them. Also his water was roasting hot (so had been there for some time) and he was panting heavily and must have been very uncomfortable in the heat (god knows- I was hot with cut-down trousers and a sleaveless top- so dont know how the poor mite felt with a thick furry coat!!)
Well, like I said I will still keep an eye on poor doggy and hopefully i'll not need to be making anymore calls on his behalf.
A big THANKYOU to everyone whos kept up with the goings on and cared enough to spare a thought for this poor animal. :T Hopefully he's getting the care that he deserves.Every time life knocks me down, I just stay on the ground for a bit and look up at the sky for a while. Hope this ends well. We lost our old dog recently and he was in a hell of a state and had to put him down - but we certainly wouldn't have left him in the sun!0

Well done Michelle, TY for sticking to that, I have to say I am disapointed SPCA took so long to get their act in gear. Maybe being in a City I have had better luck with them. The truth may be out there, but the lies are inside your head. Terry Pratchett

Thanks for the update Michelle. I just hope they stick to their word and keep a close eye on him. I'm not sure I would have many civil words to say to his owner if I came face-to-face with them though. I find I am very unforgiving when it comes to the proper treatment of animals

Thanks once again for the update, Michele, and for your perseverance in trying to help this dog. Those owners really don't deserve to have that poor dog. I wish he could be rehomed with more caring and responsible people. Still, I'm so glad to hear that you will keep on eye on him. Bless you for that.0
