last time i tried to send my van for a car wash, as soon as i entered the car wash territory, i could see the guys hiding, one going to toilet , one picking up the phone and the other 2 were scratching the other car like it had parazites ;/////0)
i felt unloved ;) and it was confirmed when owner just wanted to get rid of me when he said it ll cost 40 quid to clean, the driver area and windscreen
it may cost less now as the windscreen broke and i got a new direct line replacement screen ;)

we got a mini diesel and rely on God to help with washing lol it didnt work well when we went on holidays in albania as no rain in signt for 3 months but here in england is all fine- plemnty of rain in weekly bases

Why is it when I get my car washed, it rains the same day or the next day?
Why is it you say that? Rain doesn't clean a car very effectively, or make it all that mucky, unless you drive over mud. In fact it is an extremely good idea to wash a car in the rain, if the rain is heavy enough it will rinse off the tap water you threw over it reducing water marks so you don't have to go to the effort of drying it :) You look a bit of a prat and get wet, but hey :money:

No car washes for me after watching final destination 4 lol

I know I'm going to regret asking this but... what happened in Final Destination 4?

I live next door to a fire station and every now and again they do a charity car wash.

Let me tell you that having your car washed by four or five burly firemen with a big hose is worth the donation. :D

Oh the drama, and panic ... I think then she manages to fit her head through the gap is & nearly decapitated... but isn't her friends save her

I'm sure that's part of why vans rust like anything :)
I just assumed the dirt gave an extra protective coat :D
Nothing to see here, move along.

when we haven't had a chance to do it we tend to use Tesco's £2.00 basic car wash and they use soft brushes so no scratches even though hubby has vinal transfers on his car. He does however prefer hand washing it as it gets every nook and cranny clean.

Its not the brush that scratches the car - its all the bits of grit and other particles that are stuck to it. You can see a car that's been through a carwash pretty easily if you know what to look for.

I rarely wash my motor myself - and it's black so it needs it. I don't have an outside tap so no hosepipe you see.

I just take it down the road and let the Abduls at the local Car Wash do it for me (damn £1 extra for it being a 4x4 though!)

It's also much easier to clean when it's raining, the baked on dirt and splatted flies come off much more easily :p
