I do mine own I have used a car wash twice in 10 years0

Judging by the state of the paintwork of a lot of cars when they "shine" in the sun (revealing all of the swirl marks caused by automatic car washes or the stone filled sponge hand wash guys), I guess most people don't bother :rotfl:0

One thing I am anal about is vacuuming the car. I do this at least twice a week. If you only vacuum the car once every 6 months, it can take 2-3 hours to do a thorough job, whereas twice a week means it takes 10 minutes and you sit in a clean car.[/QUOTE]
That equates to 2 x 10 mis a week = 7 hours over 6 months or 14 hours a year, my 30 mins once a year will do me0 -
Only ever been to a hand car wash place once, the idiot used a rag which must have been dropped on the floor several times and scratched my car to f*ck.... Now I only ever do it myself.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

Yes, I wash my own car because I wouldn't want any of those jokers at a hand carwash putting swirl marks onto the paintwork. I definitely wouldn't use a jet wash or automatic carwash either. Its sheepskin mitts and the two bucket method for me.0

Yes always clean my own car inside and out, would never consider paying to have it done, when it is so easy and cheap to do it myself!0

My local Vauxhall dealer has a special offer, buy a car from them and you get a 'free and easy'
Free wash, dust and vacuum for the rest of the time that you own the car. Brilliant eh.
It goes down there, once a fortnight, comes out sparkling while i sit in their lounge having a latte and a biscuit.
Bliss................
What a great idea! I might suggest it to my local Hyundai dealer when I take my car in to be serviced tomorrow."If you think it's expensive to hire a professional to do the job, wait until you hire an amateur." -- Red Adair0 -
I wash it myself using lambs wool mitt and microfibre cloths. Wouldn't use a hand wash place as they all use stone enriched sponges that leave swirls.
Same when you go for a service and the garage offer to give your car a free quick wash. NO NO NO!0 -
I trade mine in when it needs washing:)
More seriously, I don't wash it and don't take it to a car wash. I believe it goes through the carwash when it's serviced but that's it.
I do clean off the number plate and lights if they start getting over grimy.0 -
