Do You Wash Your Own Car??
Options
We have two cars and I washed both of them this afternoon and suddenly realised I haven't seen any of my neighbours do so in a good few years!
I have always washed my car on A Sunday ("A" Sunday, not every Sunday...) and when I was a kid it was a bit of a Sunday tradition, along with mowing the lawn.
We have a local hand-wash place which charges a tenner to wash and hoover your car. Is everyone going to one of these nowadays?
In these cash-strapped times I find it difficult to believe I'm the only one washing the family cars by hand...people still mow their own lawns but it appears they don't wash their own cars??!
So...a quick straw poll. Who washes their own car nowadays and who pays for someone else to do it?

Yep, I'm on a tight budget, so it's doing it myself. Only the outside though, can't be bothered with the inside unless it gets really bad. When the dog passes on to better things I might take it to be properly cleaned as a one off.All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
I wash mine, I love doing it and can spend hours on it.
My dad takes his to a place who handwash cars and has recommended it and I do keep meaning to take mine for a one off as they wash/wax the underneath which sounds good. We do have a valet service who come to our work every so often, but i've never used them as find their prices ridiculous; £2.00 to hoover a boot out for example...madness.Grocery challenge - Nov: £52/£100

Neither, I wash it for the mot, or just the tailgate if my hands stick to it.0

I always wash my cars with Autoglym stuff. It is expensive but gives a better finish and lasts for ever. With the cheap car shampoo I was buying two bottles a month, with the Autoglym stuff a £10 bottle lasts me six months.0

I wash my own car(s). I am not in the business of giving my hard earned money to petty criminals/benefit fraudsters who often staff many of the impromptu car washes that proliferate. Nor would i put them through a mechanical wash to have them thrashed by dirty, abrasive brushes which dont do the job properly anyway.Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0
