    Hi everyone

I am back from my hols :D. Got back yesterday at 5am  and had a family do to attend in Bournemouth last night so to say I was knackered was an understatement!!

I feel a bit more normal now. The holiday was lovely, although I was yearning for my laptop most of the time (very sad, I know). It was very hot and I now have a heat rash on my arm which is sore and I didn't get tanned. I also actually managed to finish the book that I have been reading for the past few months (Time Traveller's Wife). I have vowed that I will set aside time every day to read at least 1 chapter of a book.

On Thursday last week, a drink leaked in my bag and made sure that my phone no longer works :(. Luckily, I am not really one of those people that can't live without a mobile (now a laptop, I really can't live without!!) but I did need to get a replacement so early on Saturday morning, I was browsing the websites for a cheap phone. However, I only had £10 to spend and all of the shops wanted a top-up of £10 to get a £10 phone. So I left it and am still phoneless.

Then my OH, who is visiting his parents today, emailed me to say that his mum is giving me her old Nokia to tide me over. And it isn't a really old Nokia and I used to have one when I was younger so I think I can use it for quite some time. :T A free phone :D. I am also going to try and fix my old phone.

It got me thinking that there are always ways to get major items for free or much less money than budgeted.

My next big purchase is a new pair of boots. I have to chuck my last pair away as they were in such bad condition. My last pair were free from Faith after I won £100 of vouchers. So I am looking at spending a max of £30 on a pair of real leather boots, bearing in mind that I also need to get them taken in around the thigh so they don't look like welly boots (costs around £15).

I also came home to a couple of other freebies - some sweeteners to trial (that were sent in a little 'really useful' plastic box) and a Gino D'Acampo cook book. I vow that I will start to cook from it at some point before the end of the year. I just need to be able to stock up on ingredients. I have nearly £35 of Tesco vouchers on the way in November and was thinking if I can get most of my Xmas presents from Amazon, then I could use those vouchers to stock the cupboards (I am up to £45 in vouchers and am playing on Bingoport as we speak).

Anyway, enough rambling from me. Off to catch up on some more threads :D.

    Hi everyone

Had a 'day off' work today and have been tidying up the flat which believe me needed it as I had to rush around before leaving for the holiday and left everything in disarray!!

Went to the hospital this afternoon and everything is fine. I have put on weight again too. I am now at 8st 4lbs which is great :D.

I have just finished watching Dragon's Den (love that show - is it wrong that I find Peter Jones quite attractive?? :o) and am now going to finish a few more bits around the flat so that I can start tomorrow as a fresh working day :D.

    Morning all

I have just updated all my survey totals in my signature and I am up to £50 of Amazon vouchers (even though I am waiting for £25). So I need another £65 for my mum's DSi. I'm not sure if I will get all of my Christmas presents for free but I will certainly try. If I can just get the DSi and a couple of my niece's presents for free then that will be good enough.

I went to Debenhams with my mum yesterday to shop for my sister's birthday present and got a bag for her for £28. It is on my mum's store card as she got a discount so will have to make sure I pay that off when the bill comes in. I did find a massive gift bag to put it in which has saved me buying loads of wrapping paper. I knew there was a reason that I didn't throw out gift bags and boxes ;).

It is my OH's birthday today and I haven't got him anything. I feel really bad although he says he doesn't mind. So I am sending positive vibes out there that a prize suitable for my OH will come to me within the next month. When it was my birthday, he didn't get my present until a month after so I won't feel so bad if I can get him something good by mid October.

I have to go out soon and get him a card and might as well get my sister's whilst I am there (Card Factory of course!).

I saw a desk on Gumtree for £5 that I enquired about but the guy was really rude so I don't think I will be putting any money in his pocket. I have my eye on a couple on eBay that are local so will see if I can get one of them cheap. I just can't justify spending over £50 in Argos when I could get one for less than a tenner.

:jJust had 2 big wins on Bingoport in a row. Halfway to a voucher already and it is only 10.10am :T.

Right, better get moving. Be back later.
