Afternoon everyone
The universe has sent another tenner my way!! I advertised a hoover on Gumtree for my mum months ago. A woman finally replied to the ad today and bought it within the hour. My mum gave me £10 of the money as I sold it for her.
I am going to spend that £10 on food later today. Also need to put petrol in my car.

Hey Emily
I just moved house and have been furnishing it on a shoe string. For office stuff there is an excellent charity called Green Works who resell donations from big corporations, providing jobs and training to long-term unemployed people. There are a few warehouses around London and beyond. We got some amazing chairs for £35 that had been over £500 new plus some cool lockers. There was a huge range of desks of all shapes and sizes. The ones near Wembley have a sale night once a month, I think you could get something similar for a much cheaper price. HTH:A :heartpuls June 2014 / £2014 in 2014 / £735.97 / 36.5%0 -

Hi everyone
Just popping in quickly as OH told me this morning that we are going to a wedding reception this evening. Flipping men, do they not understand that us ladies need a bit of notice if we are going to an evening do .
Anyway, have spent all morning beautyifying myself (took quite a while :rotfl:) and had to decide on what to wear. I have revealed a hole in my wardrobe where some more glamourous evening tops should be sitting. I could only dig out 2. I think I will have to buy some from Jane Norman in the January sales.
I redeemed for another £10 Amazon voucher yesterday and am getting close to another £5 on Bingoport today. So my Amazon fund is looking quite healthy. Will update my totals when I have more time.

Thanks, it was a good evening. The bride looked lovely. I did a really good job on my make-up beforehand too and therefore I didn't look hideous in the one picture that I didn't manage to avoid!!
We have another wedding to go to on 1st October which will be the ceremony, sit down meal and reception. My OH brought me a dress and shrug today to wear to it, bless him. It looks really nice. Here is the dress:

And the shrug

I am teaming them with my beautiful glittery Fiorelli black bag and a pair of kitten heeled black sandals with diamontes on them. I can't wait to wear it all now. Must find a matching blue nail varnish for my toes before then. Will use some of my Boots points.
I have had a good day on Bingoport too. I reached my target for a £5 voucher this morning but have since won 2 tournaments and got bells on the slots so I have redeemed for £10 today and still have 3k to build up points for next week (which is good seeing as I am away from Sunday). My aim is to build up enough points to redeem for a £5 voucher on Thursday.
Off to update my vouchers total and then 20 more questions before bed.
