Been A.W.O.L for nearly 2 weeks now, so must get back on track. Not been well and had to have 2 weeks off work (not good) but on the mend now.
Financial:
Very tight due to no wages for 2 weeks but everything still under control.
Still no response from catalouge company but spoke yesterday to National Debt Advisory, who put me onto financial ombudsman who are going to contact them. I am determined not to be bullied by these people. Will give them until the end of the week and write to them again.I will win this battle.
House and Garden:
OK on that front. Due to being ill it was getting a bit behind, but slowly been chipping away and not too bad.
De-cluttering is still on going - joined a de-cluttering challange on another thread which is helping. Just sorting something out a day makes an amazing difference.
All but 1 of my Ebay bits sold and am richer to the tune of £84. The non-sold bit I will charity shop when I next go into town.
Cutting still ok but some look like they are struggling a bit, must resist the urge to water. Over watering is my down fall.
Health and Wellbeing:
Not been a good 2 weeks due to neuralgia, but have had lots of enforced rest.
Knowledge etc:
Working my way through 3 books about self sufficiency -very different to my usual style and quite inspiring.
Creative:
The last 2 living room cushions finally made and 1st block of quilt cut out.
Christmas:
Doing well on that front-lists all done. 3 small presents for OH bought. 2 stockings half done and 1 of 2 tree presents half done.
So in general slow but steady progress.Debt at start of DMP 1/6/09: £2942 - £1942

Dee: Welcome to my diary. Its nice when people pop in. Do you have a diary?
Nothing much to report today. I am much better but still got a way to go. The neuralgia affected my balance and I fell badly and twisted my entire left side over a week ago:eek:I can at least now bend down. But its very fragile. I have reached the frustraing bit of feling mentally well enough to do things but physically can't. Just have to stick with the 15 minute bursts.
Back to work on Monday, will hopefully last the 4 hours then am off until Friday, so gentle return.
I want to at least tidy my patio up a bit today so at least I can sit on it for enforced rest.:rotfl:Debt at start of DMP 1/6/09: £2942 - £1942

Hope your feeling better, sounds painful.
Try not to do too much at once.
How is you quilting going.

Dee: Found your diary and subscribed.
Survived all 4hours at work today but am shattered now. Can understand now why Doctor insisted I had a gradual return. My left side is still quite painful and physically quite restricting but will just have to plod on and do little and often.
Got my sister coming today for a day or so. It would have been my Mum's birthday tommorow and we have a family lunch after visiting her bench in the church yard. Nice way to remember Mum and have quality time as a family.
Got the patio cleared and tidied so at least I can sit and enjoy enforced rest as long as I turn a blind eye to all the pottering and weeding that needs doing. Didn't realize just how much time I spent pottering.
This weekend de-cluttering was all the medicines and first aid kit:eek:another bit done.

Had a lovely time with my sister, the time just flew by. We had a lovely commemorative lunch and then sat chatting in the garden until 9pm. I am getting better at taking time out!
Have been so glad that I had had a major cull and tidy of the garden before this episode, because by now nature would have won, at the moment nature is almost winning:eek:as I'm getting more mobile by the day I may be able to win a bit of control back.
This week got 2 weeks menu plans to do, laundry, a bit more de-cluttering and general housework blitz (that's getting easier as we get more sorted). Baby-steps and lots of rest.Debt at start of DMP 1/6/09: £2942 - £1942

Am still on the mend and definately getting more mobile by the day. Am getting frustrated as the mind is willing and but the body not!
Have returned to normal hours at work this week, so still got to do babysteps. Nature is so clever the way it slows you down when you have to.
Day off today and I'm hoping to gate the weekly housework takled and maybe a bit of gardening(that still has to be very small amounts).
Financial:
Still tight but still under control:j.Have sent next letter to catoluge company also requesting no phone calls from reciept of letter and so far haven't had any for 3 days...... Don't hold your breath though.
House and Garden:
House a bit neglected due to illness but doing little bits it's slowly returning to my prefered standard. The daily de-clutter is making a vast difference. It's amazing what a difference doing just a small amount of decluttering a day can make - we get so much junk that just gets absorbed.:eek:Garden sadly neglected but with little bits I'll get there again.
Health and Well being:
Slowly improving but need to tackle the smoking again as that's gone back up.
Creative:
Not done anything for nearly a month.
Knowledge etc:
Due to enforced rest am reading like books are going out of fashion.
Christmas:
Still on track - found the ideal present for my neice the other day and will get that at the end of the month. It's good to feel that I'm slowly gathering bits together so that December doesn't present a big bogey.

Update!
Financial:
I half won the catalogue battle:jThey removed half of the charges and then offered a F+F settlement for £60 more than I offered. I agreed to that and settled today:j3 years of debt gone after a fight. I am so grateful that I discovered MSE as it gave me the tools and confidence to fight my corner.:j
That is a major weight lifted.
Garden:
Have removed the falling down and rotten trellis from my patio, cut the jasmine and honeysuckle hedge right back. Priced up materials to replace trellis and it's very do-able. Just need to talk B.I.L into rebuilding sooner rather than later.Next step is to dig out what I want to keep and do some serious feeding. Rain stopped play.
Now off to do a quick 15 minute tidy before OH gets home.Debt at start of DMP 1/6/09: £2942 - £1942

Day off again today. Survived last week at work but was so tired by Friday, but progress as I survived.
I won £20 on the lottery this weekend:jso am going to treat my garden with that.
Financial:
Tight but still under control. Trying very hard not to spend any money I don't need to and keeping the spending diary up to date is a major help. I hate having to enter things in it.
Found a new card shop when I was in town and it's very cheap, so will now stock up there for all my birthday cards etc. Shame can't find a cheap way of posting them!
House:
Still chipping away at de-cluttering. Have just thrown away loads of stale nail polish, some never used but all yucky and seperated.:eek:Going to tackle the airing cupboard next.
Garden:
After tackling the patio beds last week am chipping away at clearing that. Got the manure to feed it at the weekend. B.I.L doing my new trellis this week:jFinding it very hard to detach myself from my plants - many are old and past their best or far to big now for their position but are also so much a part of my Mum. Definately need to master the art of cuttings so that these oldies can produce babies.
Realized that buying cheap compost is not very :money:nothing is doing very well in it. Lesson learnt!
Health and Well being:
Improving slowly. Still pacing myself but it's very frustrating. Dental appointment on Friday and think I have finally got to concede defeat and let the dentist take out my dodgy tooth - unfortunately its the same side as the neuralgia and don't think it's helping. Oh the joys of getting older.
Knowledge and Learning:
Have finally found a really good book on greenhouse gardening and am studying it furiously to get the most of my greenhouse from now on.
Creative;
Not done anything there this week, but am going to do some mending this week before I start being creative.
Christmas:
Not done anything this week.
