I've managed to get back! The party was a great success and worth all the hard work. The nautical theme worked and the boat looked amazing once it got dark with twinkly lights and bunting.:jPlanning and doing this event reminded me of how much I would like to earn a living doing this, sadly I think that has to be a dream :(

Also had a reminder on Sunday that M.E. does still lurk as I was totally wiped out by lunchtime and could barely walk:(Have had a couple of early nights and afternoon naps and am beginning to get back to myself.
I plan on having a couple of quieter weeks now.

My house is now restored to normal order, other than a mountain of laundry. I'll get B.I.L's restored on Thursday.

In the next day or so I intend to get back onto all my babystep plans - fortunately I had done all the preparation for that so just need to pick up the reigns again.

One bit of good news on the financial front is that boss lady has finally agreed to start paying me weekly via bank transfer -:jIt means I get paid on time and should make budgetting much easier:j. Also with it going into the bank I am much more aware of spending as I physically have to withdraw it.
Am I the only one who finds it harder to put money into the bank than draw it out?:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Oh Fab on your wages going into the bank and regular :j
I very rarley put money in the bank, just my copper when i count it and there is an amount worth banking. I get my cleaning money at each visit and it never goes in the bank, but I usualy do this job on a Monday morning. I used to keep it in my purse and make it last until Friday, which kept me from going to the bank to withdraw. Must get back into that, when i resume that job.

How is the job hunting going ?

    :)
Do I need this or just want it.

Spoke to soon about my wages! Boss lady away and her hubby doesn't know how to activate electronic payment (he's a banker for heavens sake) He hopes he remembers to get cash and leave it for me Friday. Think I'll have to persuade her next week to do it as a standing order.

After lunch today, more ironing and fill in more squares for my life plans and maybe make a start on veg plot 2 planting.

I'm scaring myself with getting back on track:eek:
Both houses now restored and now no sign that last week was party week.
Weather is not allowing me to get out and plant my veggie plot number 2, but hopeful it will get done over the weekend.

Now the scary bit - filled in my squares for the next 2 weeks and am slowly ticking them off:j
Have open 2 on line savings accounts:j1 for - my buffer zone - £84 is my first target which equals a weeks pay. The other for saving for me. Have made my first transfer to buffer zone of £17. Trying to save £3.50 a week for buffer zone.
    Babysitting tonight so extra pennies:j

    Have a good weekend.

After my amazing win I have thought long and hard about what to do with it. I am going to pay off the catalouge, get counil tax up to date, take out a years house contents insurance and have a bit of a spend tommorow. Going to buy a few more clothes and the smaller bits for the house that are in dire need of replacement. Then the balance is going into my savings account to establish an emercancy fund and also it may as well earn some interest until we decide to usesome of it to replace our living room carpet.(another thing neededing deperate replacement). That's on hold though until we have had the kitchen and heating done (no date available yet).

So going to spend the afternoon looking at what small bits need replacing, researching insurance and also re-boiling strawberry jam. It may set 2nd time.:rotfl:

Day off today. I need to get sorted out(again). All my de-cluttering and the house is as unorganized as before. My theory is it feels this way to force me to take action and get back on track.

Going to have a quick look at my plans and then do some 15 minute bursts.

Shopping trip was successful - got sheets, waste bin, bath mat, laundry baskets and towels. Re-stocked the freezer(planned to do this at the weekend). Replaced OH's work shirts and bought myself trousers and a cardigan.
I think I have embraced:money:so much that even when I could afford to do frippery I just can't bring myself to do it!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:I looked at a book 3 times and thought"I'll buy that" and seconds later "I've got plenty to read at the moment, it can wait".
    Back later.
