Another week has flown by! The funeral last week was very moving and seeing the grandsons being pall bearers was very emotional. I was shattered afterwards, particularly having spent so much time with my ex. Very much reminded me why he was my ex!
Financial:
October is going to be extremely tight but with determination I'll get through it.
The 2 weekly shopping came in £5 over budget but was ok as Aldi had all their dishwasher stuff in so we stocked up and thats sorted now until Christmas.
House:
Upstairs now decluttered:j3 charity bags and so far £60 Ebay sales. (keeping that towards Christmas).
Started on living room and that's not too bad but need to convince OH not to keep so much tutt!
Progress on the major work front:jthe kitchen planner coming next week.
Garden:
Staring the tidying up now. Have gathered the 1st crop of apples and pruned the tree. More at the weekend.
Health and Wellbeing:
Had a gifted appointment with a kinseologist/hypnotherapist/ naturalist/healer etc on Tuesday. Despite my slight scepticism within 10 minutes she had described exactly what I was feeling:eek: need to let go of past hurts, be nicer to myself and work on the learnt addictive behaviours:eek:Since then I have felt amazing, had the best nights sleep for years and am loosing my desire to smoke. All have to be positives and I have made another appointment for a month.
£45 is a lot of money to find in my tight budget but I feel it could well be money well spent -regarding this as an investment in myself.
Knowledge and Learning:
Began level 2 maths this week- that's hard! Need to do a lot of private study but will do that. Am very determined.
Christmas:
Need to do the lists this week- rough menu plan, grocery lists etc. Have found in the last couple of years that if we start now it spreads the cost and removes a lot of stress.
Frugal Food:
Made apple sauce from some of 1st apple crop and tried bottling- so easy:jcost to me £0.
Made sausage meat pies - 2 for yesterday and 2 for freezer - cost £2
Made smoked mackrel fish cakes - got 9 out of the ingredients cost £1.80.
All in all a resonably good week so lets hope it continues. Wish I could magic up some more cash;)

Hi RM! You've been busy again. Unlike me- always so little to report!
Your kinseologist/hypnotherapist/naturalist/healer etc sounds interesting. What exactly did she do? I think I could do with some kinseologist/hypnotherapist/naturalist/healer etc therapy myselfOr at the very least an Indian Head masssage- very relaxing

Hello Everybody:
NewLeaf:
Yes, I religously meal plan. We shop 2 weekly and I do a 2 week plan prior to shopping.
My OH is a meat and 2 veg type of man so we have meat most days.
Some of the things I have found useful and save us quite a bit is:
Buy a joint of around 1.5 kilo. This does Sunday dinner, and at least 1 other meal possibly 2. I'll mince is up and make something from the mince.
Buy a large chicken and cut off legs and wings before freezing/cooking. Stick these in the freezer and then you have another meal withoput any cost at a later date.
Hope that helps.
HI Laura and Ambs - nice to see you both.
Laura:
The kinseologist etc lady didn't do much to me except talk, lightly touch my arm and my head/shoulders whilst telling me to relax and have a snooze. Weird and can't explain it but it seems to have worked.
