The Nationwide's insurance is for Europe only. You can pay to upgrade to worldwide.0 -

Any idea how much Nationwide charge for worldwide and winter sports upgrades?
Edit: I called them up and its £20 for worldwide and £40 for winter sports so £60 total per person. Pointless when you can get the same cover for a couple for £60 total.0 -

Hi, amoung my travels this yr will be a trip to NYC. I normally take annual insurance without US included - this yr it obviously will be included. My question is; how much medical cover is sufficient? What is the least I should be looking at? I certainly do not wish to end up in an American hospital being under insured!
Thanks for any advice.

The Foreign Office advise £2m for beyond Europe, but most medical insurers seem to include cover way beyond this - frequently £10m:

Hi. First post here so please bear with me.
I have had breast cancer. Am completley clear with no further treatment or medication ( lucky I know) My surgeon has said that I do not need to cover the cancer as I no longer have it and have had a mastectomy. What he has suggested is that I cover the implants that he left me with. I have made a few phone calls and everyone wants to cover the cancer at a cost of over 200 quid for a 30 day trip to Disney & the USA . Does anyone know of a company who insures cosmetic proceedures rather than illnesses?0
