Glad to see this thread reopened. I'd only just got started and I thought I wouldn't be able to get advice if i needed it
Was instore tonight and noticed that tesco travel insurance is currently on special offer 10% off, or something like that.
So here's a heads up to look for out of date SELs on 13th Sept. Anyone had experience of claiming R+R if all the SELs are have been replaced with correct ones, but the big 10% off travel insurance banner still hangs from the ceiling?0 -
This is just a note for anyone considering going for an R&R based on the out of date Tesco Mobile Motorola leaflets that are still in many stores. I know a lot of people have had success, but I didn't and I've had plenty of pretty high value R&rs in the past.
I got a complete rejection on a Motorola V220 when I tried it at Exeter Exe Vale yesterday. They had loads of the 10% off leaflets on the shelf and the phone went through at £59.97, rather than £53.97 on the leaflet. However, the CS woman was clear that it was in writing that the offer ended on September 3rd, so all she would do is give me the phone at the lower price as a gesture of good will. I pointed out that the print for the expiry date was minuscule compared to the advertised price, but she wouldn't budge. I got her to call the duty manager and she took exactly the same position.
In the end I just asked for a full refund, which kind of made it obvious that I was only interested in R&R. All I can say is that if you go for this, be prepared for failure.

Your son fell on a wet floor where there wasn't one of those yellow WET FLOOR warnings ?
I'd of gone to claims direct.
Typical reaction from mangler.
Doesn't matter if they like you or not, you still have your rights.
Something T seem to think they can withdraw and mess with as and when it suits them.Back to square one, no apg, no comment.0 -
Visited 4 stores today, and in each one
Tescos Finest T/S, T/R SS roasts were priced at both £7.29kg and £6.29kg on a yellow sel
Tescos British Beef T/t T/R SS joints were priced at both £6.54kg and £5.18kg on a yellow Sel
I've been getting these(and posting these) all week.........some with no problem, some with lots of discussion.
The Sels are still up because all the senior meat staff insist that both Sels are correct,
They insist in both cases that the size of the piece of meat is the deciding factor......but the size isnt particularly mentioned on the Sel itself......and its hard to find on the meat as well
They told me that the reduced sign was for the medium sized joints only......
This is a NATIONAL PRICING thing.........so if you are prepared for maybe some confrontation.....go for it.......
I think the deciding factor in a couple of my arguments was that "the yellow reduced Sel stands out more than the higher priced white Sel".....and as there are 2 prices....the law says you must charge the lower of the 2.
Hope this helps you get your Sunday Roast......and goes someway to prove that Size does count....lol0 -
Hi Bassman

Going to need oneBack to square one, no apg, no comment.0 -
I am quite a regular r+rer but up until now I have been relatively smalll fry but after I emptied shampoo into my phone this week i have been on the look out for a new phone.
Whilst on my regular patrol of a local store i happened across the 10% off leaflet and thought that I would try my hand at a motorola phone. I was, as expected, charged full price and after a discussion with the young guy on the till and the duty manager i had no luck. Head office is closed at the moment and I will speak to them tomorrow.
I have kept the phone for the time being but I am unsure what to say to HQ. Do you guys think I should just send an e-mail or ring first??
any help would be greatfully received!0 -
Bassman,
isnt the price per kilo just that, I can't see how the size has anything to do with it (although the missus would beg to differ)
sounds like another in the line of just pathetic excuses to avoid paying up
they will be telling us that its global warming next.Back to square one, no apg, no comment.0 -
