Hello all, what fun i have missed.
Ive just spent the last 30 minutes reading up on the goings on.
Yes i was here to wind up a few people. I have been a long time observer of this particular forum and have to say it has gone down hill rapidly over the last few months.
I make no apologises for my original posts, they served their purpose. I would however like to start contributing to this forum in a constructive and apropriate manner.
Good luck to all and i sincerely hope this forum regains some credibility over the following weeks.

Take care all, R&R can be addictive and thats when the greed starts to show.
The world is a beautifull place, enjoy it.
  • i dont want to offend... but is it possible not to start the xbox game questions again.... please......as the whole thread will start being about the xboxes.. again.... and i am sure other people are feeling the same way about it as me.... or is it only me that is fed up with reading about what game of the week it is etc......

as i say sorry not ment to offend ..or anything....

no offence taken, im still a bit green with envy from last week, and thought i might pop in this evening:D

Not to worry then, on another note I also saw the silverside joints wrong in wellingborough today but didnt have time so HTH someone
  • On the subject of cribbing R&Rs from other shoppers while waiting at at the CS Desk, one point that we now make is to "attend" the CS Desk ourselves when there is an internal PA call for one of the managers to attend the CS Desk, this had lead to a number of R&R leads and witness a few amusing incidents.

As for the way these threads run. It seems the nature of all BBs that high volume boards that some will react strongly to the posts of others. It is this reason that I will no longer post R&R findings, snide comments as with flames do not encourage new posters/board members, it leads to the situation where only a few people post the same story and end up in public brawls.

    RIP

I went looking for misprices today but sadly none despite having made a list of the misprices on here. Did buy some reduced minced beef and after checking all the meat was correctly priced was surprised to have a meat counter employee run after me and tell me that other packs of mince beef were reduced to a lower price than the pack I had bought !!! surprised to get a member of staff advising me of an overcharge !! although it was a price ticket reduction and not a SEL difference.

Anyway, picked up 4 ragu's on BOGOF - got home and discovered there was 8 in my shopping and I had only paid for 4 on my receipt !! I phoned the store to let them know and they said drop them in when I am next passing

Ok looking for some advice here, have been reading this forum for a while and thought had my first R & R yesterday. Was at my local store and noticed the IDISGO Mp3 player had an expired SEL, well it was a yellow one which stated it had been reduced. SEL stated £59.99 and charged at £79.97. Anyway got two of these and went to CS stating the misprice. Walked with a member of staff who took down the incorrect SEL. Went back, she liaised with her manager who refused a refund. I asked to talk to him, was told he was in a meeting. Unfortunatly I was out durring a lunch break so had to be back at work but stated I would be back after work. Returned later on to be told no one knew of the probelm and the manager had left. They took my number and said someone would call back today. No call up till 1pm so popped there at lunchtime, after 35 mins of waiting, meet the manager who refused. On the basis that his staff had removed the promo SEL at the correct time, didn't comment on how it re-appeared. DId not want to talk and asked him to call HEad Office, he refused and i was told to call head office myself. Came to work and after several calls to Head Office have been told i will not get a R and R as the store manager has CCTV footage of the promo SEL being removed early on this week??? Head office did not know whether this was taken down by a Tesco employee or a memeber of the public. I was also told that there had been fraudulent goings on there....apparently customers were taking the promo SEL's durring the offer and then re-positioning them after the promo had finished. Can not believe that this is a valid excuse that Head office would use? Any advice...apologies for the long post!

Sorry to add the store manager did also use the expired SEL excuse, said that it is up to the customer to see the expiry label. I said you expect me to read the small text there? he said "you guys look at what you want to look at" Surely the onus is on them to remove SEL's on time. But the official word from head office is beacuse of the CCTV thing...???

Pleased to see this thread has been unlocked.

Got up really early this morning to try and catch out of date posters for Saints Row as Game of the Week, which expired at midnight last night.

Got lucky in the 2nd store I went to. Bought Xbox 360 + Saints Row, went through as £319.93 with no £20 discount applied. Had a very long argument with store manager who was highly unpleasant and said the discount only applied to the game and not the whole package, therefore I was only entitled to an R+R on the game.

The argument went round and round in circles for ages, then I asked if I could use their phone to call CS dept in Dundee. Manager refused to let me use their phone, so I went outside to use a payphone. Spoke to a wonderful friendly and responsive lady called Mary who immediately agreed with me and said the manager was wrong. She told me to go and stand by the CS desk, and she would call the manager and tell her.

The manager didn't believe me when I said CS in Dundee were going to phone and authorise a full R+R. When the call came through off Mary, the manager's face was an absolute picture! The manager even tried to argue with Mary, and lied by misquoting the wording on poster. Even while she was begrudingly giving me the full R+R, she continued to moan that both Mary and myself were wrong, and she was right! She was absolutely fuming. It made my day.

Huge thanks to Mary at CS in Dundee, a true star. Nice to see there's still a few good eggs in the organisation.

Went to 5 more stores afterwards but all the games posters had been removed.

Hiya Hayley  sorry should have phrased it better I had 4 ragu's of which I had paid for 2 and had 2 free on Bogof. But when I emptied my shopping bags there was 8 jars in my bags when I had only picked up 4 jars. Therefore, somehow I had managed to pick up someone else's shopping and gained another 4 jars without paying for them, which is why I commented I would be returning them.

I think the staff in the Welsh Tesco stores are on the ball with misprices too.
