Riyazi wrote::j just an update on my rant with tesco with regards to the r&r not being applicable to special promotions.
After my long and harsh email rant to tesco today in the morning, I just got a reply that this is not part of the policy and that they will contact the relevant people to remove the amendment. IN addition, one of their compliance manager will contact me with regard to my own misprice situation !! Woohoo !! Hopefully i should get my 2 cameras free now !!
Feels good to fight for justice and win
Well done to you - that's a great result and just goes to show that individual stores don't have the power to overrule national Tesco policy.0 -

It can happen sometimes when offers are extended to run beyond the original cut-off date. If there are no price checking machines in the store, I usually take it to the checkout and say "can you just tell me how much this is, as there's no price on the shelf". This avoids the hassle of having to buy it and then get a refund if the SEL was correct.0 -

now, my total of R+R to date is adding up to something approaching 6k,
the past two days has added nearly 1k to that price
another ACER laptop in the wescountry!!!
and customer support were happy to give it to me (eerie that, no arguing, no nothing, just a cheezy grin from an assistant whilst someone else went away somewhere)
what's even funnier.........just 20p difference in price
SEL 499.79, scan 499.99
I can't believe it!!!!!!!!
there was a telly scanning higher than SEL, but didn't want to try it on
WOW well done - not sure if I'd have the guts thoughfor just 20pence.
that sure is an impressive total you have there nearly 6K I don't think I will have got any where near the 4 figure mark.
Well Done you may have to give me some lessons for the bigger stuff LOL!!Lightbulb moment 10-06-06

erm..........................Iquon PC package, SEL 449.99, scan 459.99.......3 hours in the store asking for a 'straight answer' why they won't allow me to keep the product and refund as it says on the poster..................dunno how many calls they made to HO, but the CS people were lovely, the store manager was a little grumpy, but my friendly demeanour paid off and the manager even offered me a free coffee once HO had sorted things out........woo, 2 free laptops and a computer now!! ;-)
around the worcester area there are a few tescos!, and around hereford too, loads near birminghammoney saving my @rse.
I've spent 10x as much as I would if I had never discovered this website :-)

HI.first post on here.was just wondering how you know before you get to the checkout if the price that appears on the scanner, will be more than the price on the SEL?i have a few tesco stores near me, so want to check out the electronic section but dont want to be buying laptops if they are priced correctly.thanks.josh0

Was reading some of the other posts which talk about wombling (?) being illegal
is it also an offence to use someone else's clubcard for your own purchases or can we say that we bought the stuff on behalf of the other person ?I have learnt that living life to the fullest gives you a much better high than alcohol or drugs !0 -

Not sure if its illegal or not, I don't feel qualified to state either way.
However I'm sure it is covered somewhere in Clubcard T & C's, and would imagine its dodgy ground. As for using someone elses Clubcard on your shopping, you could say you were buying it for other people, not a problem. To be honest how would the cashier know anwyay? When I'm on a till you often get a mother and daughter through with a set of shopping each yet use the same Clubcard. I never say anything, just swipe the Clubcard and be done with it, if theyw ant to share it then fair enough.
Its a very complicated and grey area - but I imagine there is a difference in sharing a Clubcard and picking up random unclaimed points to enhance your point total.0
