Tesco misprice policy discussion area part 8

Hi guys,

I'm new here so please be gentle with me.

I am confused over the XBOX360 misprice. I take it that if the poster says Saints Row as the GOTW then the discount will work. If prey is on the poster that was last weeks and will not scan?

If this is the case:

When do HO update the link on the tills? Is it every Thursday or Friday morning?

All my local store have the correct poster but if the GOTW changes today and they leave Saints row poster up will I get my R+R?

Sorry if this has been answered before but there are so many posts on this subject I can't find it.

How anyone can argue that being charged for 2 items when you only bought one is not an overcharge is beyond me.

I suppose you could argue you have been charged £6.99 for the second bottle, which should have been 0 because you haven't got a second bottle - and then keep the ( nothing) since you haven't got two bottles.

The first bottle would therefore have scanned correctly @ £6.99 and no R&R is due.

Constantine, if you don't work for head office, but you get called to authorise R&R's you must be one of the managers or maybe a department head on the entertainment section, since you mentioned the Xbox???

Possibly, not a certainty, as the promotion could continue. Personally I hope they ditch the promotion all together. More hassle than its worth.

i got charged twice for a carton of baby milk (£5.99 each) and cs refunded both amounts after me just saying i was charged twice so i guess being charged twice does count as an overcharge

Not trying to be deliberatly vague, I have posted the information before. I am a Trading Manager. Section Managers report to me, I report to the Store Manager.

I was overscanned, and thus overcharged a little while ago.

The checkout operator counted 5x a partiular item, although I had only 4x.

Wasn't going to bother with customer services, as they where on BOGOF, and I'd paid 45p for one I didn't have.

However, as the extra one was bundled in with the four I had bought, I was refunded the whole amount, as it was seen as one transaction.

Bully for you, but I believe you are talking complete and utter rubbish. CPS would be the prosecutors not you and they wouldn't touch it with a bargepole never mind the police. I would be pleased to see the proof for your claims that there was two prosecutions this year for wombleing. Just dates appeared in court and punishment received will do. I don't want names etc cos' you would only make them up as well.

People are always calling my bluff on this thread so now it is your turn.

If you are right then I will personally email tesco and tell them exactly how many points I have wombled so they can prosecute me.

I didn't think you were being vague, just cautious, as I would be if I worked for Tesco. It was only a game, hope I didn't offend.
