I could have fought and fought but as long as they say that tesco policy has been changed to this I cant do anything can I ?
Actually, as far as i know they are not breaking any laws by putting this qualification as they are refund the full amount or difference for the overcharge - only you dont get to keep the product. Like I said, I have complained to head office about this one week ago and they still have not got back to me with an answer
I know...I have been to that store. I would have asked who did it, and said that they have broken the natinal tesco policy by amending it. Point out that is is clearly stuck on and not printed.
ALso point out that you read the tesco policy on the Tesco website before, and did not pay any attention to the board at the CS desk until after you had purchased the items.0 -

their arugment is that IT IS tesco's national policy now and that they dont know why it is not there in any other store but that it is supposed to be in their store and that I can confirm this with head office.
Good point about the website though I doubt there was any way of swaying them on thisI have learnt that living life to the fullest gives you a much better high than alcohol or drugs !0 -

did they remove the sels for the camera? I might go and get them for a laugh.
common experinece states that if a policy is printed the same in 500 stores, on a ntional website, and in 000's of copies of national leaflets and press, but is different in one store...it is that store which is the odd one out, not vice versa!0 -

yeah they did. I know your argument but like I said i am just not cut out for getting misprices
just fyi - the xbox360 core has its promotion finishing today so you can try tomorrow to get that if they dont change the sel. If you can get them to get that god dman thing off it would give me more confidence to try for misprices.
But not going to let Mr T get away with this. Decided to check out the Tescos near work to try and find some misprices today. Make them pay :rotfl:I have learnt that living life to the fullest gives you a much better high than alcohol or drugs !0 -
Still trying for my first r+r but my locals seem to on the ball
camberley/sandhurst meadows Tesco extra - still has xbox360/DS sels expiring today,
Basingstoke has removed the SEL's but price remains the same, so unlikely nationwide madness
Does anybody else have experience of these or egham, they never seem to miss anything. Help Me.:think:0 -

Last week at the checkout a customer did a quite sunstantial shop, and didn't have a club card at all. sa turned to me and said "have you got a card ?" I was trying for an R&R and wasn't planning to use my card, so said no. She then asked the next customer if they had a card, she said yes, passed it over and had her card loaded with the points from the customer in front of me.....so how does that fit in to you only being entitled to points for items you have bought yourself ?
This action was proposed, encouraged and actioned by Tesco staff....and I presume there would be video action to prove it !
As xanderd I would imagine the member of staff did not realise it was wrong. It is not allowed.
Unfortunately, from experience cashier training is not always fully inclusive and can often only include the legal side of things as well as how the actual till works. I've rarely seen it done with a manager, usually just "stand behind her and observe then you can have a go". I'm not speaking for the company there, thats from experience, and I appreciate it is down to local management.0 -
Hello All
I want some r+r action!!!!
Twice I have tried to get a mobile phone r+r'd, the s.e.l has been out of date, then I've got to the checkout and it's scanned at the cheaper price. Grrrrrrrrrrr. Does this happen to other people alot, then on the more fortunate occasions things scan at the higher price....?0 -
I know its not a great money saver but cooked ham which was stickered as 2 for 2.50 did not scan the discount, apparently the offer was terminated early but the tills haven't been updated so I got a refund! As they say everry little helps0

:j just an update on my rant with tesco with regards to the r&r not being applicable to special promotions.
After my long and harsh email rant to tesco today in the morning, I just got a reply that this is not part of the policy and that they will contact the relevant people to remove the amendment. IN addition, one of their compliance manager will contact me with regard to my own misprice situation !! Woohoo !! Hopefully i should get my 2 cameras free now !!

QUOTE=Payingitallback]I just did my first r&r :j
Was only a small one but i was very nervous
Kylie the carnival fairy stickered at £3.73 - scanned at £3.97 :T
Another item for Ebay!!!!!!!!
I seem to be in an area where no-one else on this board frequents so if i go between all 3 of our local Tescos i should get some really good deals[/QUOTE]
Can I ask why get this r&r'd if you don't actually want it?0
