Sorry long post but im happy !!!
Just wanted to post a GREAT BIG THX:beer: to all who have contributed to and added the many helpful posts about the X-BOX misprices,as today on my 3rd RnR decided to go supersize and bagged one ..much to the shock :eek: of the Manager.Anyhow details below and also a new idea i had

Went in to me local Tesco and had a little browse about and spotted a out of date Poster still in place advertising offering the console and Prey game with 20 off the total ,and thought id give it a go ....and it went through without taking the discount away .Off to Customer services and a really ,really nice Customer Services lady went and had a look and agreed i had a point ...the manager came and told me that they would refund the game only.So politely asked about there policy and she rang through to head office..result Zaf 3- Tesco 0 .The SEL was the clincher tho that went along with the poster it states clearly 20 off the total price of a XBOX or PS as a package if u purchase 1 with the game of the week..but fails to mention the name of the game so obviously if u find the Poster and SEL u have a very valid case for RnR.

Also heres 1 to do with the same deal the same SEL stating the above fails to mention that (and im only assuming this)u would have to buy a Xbox + The Xbox game of the week or the PS and its game of the week ..but the SEL simply says BUY EITHER XBOX or PS and the game of the week to trigger the discounted ammount....Now it could well be possible that if u bought a Xbox and a PS game of the week that the discount would not come of (not Tryed yet tho) as its not intended to and that would also in my way of thinking be a valid overcharge ;)let me know if any1 trys this as would be interesting to find out

Be quick though as these ran out on 3rd September 2006 and they will be removed. I bought two of the phones with sim packs as previously reported and used the leaflets as my argument for R&R.

R&R for £199.94 given, no problem.

Bagged a load of these leaflets to use at other storesas well.

Well this seems a bit dubious to me. It's one thing if Tesco don't remove out-of-date SELs even though most normal people realise out-of-date means it no longer applies. But to rely on your own stock of out of date leaflets....

Very very dubious and likely to ruin it for everyone. I do not recommend anyone to do the same as it will quickly lead to Tesco changing the policy.

I fully agree with you, that is definately waaaay beyond the line. Quite probably fraudulent as well.

Sorry just got back from tesco's, trying to find an Acer Computer with out any luck.
Thanks to Constantine for the info on the barcodes, it wasn't the one I was thinking of but very helpful (i have thanked you).
Got various R&R's but most of the games mentioned before didn't have stickers on them.
Got the Motorola V220 as well as some meat which has already been mentioned I think and !1 opf the games already posted.
Must go my son should be at football practice.

Hat trick! I now have a matching set of three Motorola Slvr L7s! Got my third R+R on one today. Out of date SEL said £89.97, scanned at £99.97. One store even had the big red POS stand still on display by the door with "10% off all Motorola phones" that expired on 3rd Sep, and all the discounted prices splashed across it in rather big lettering. Going to try a few more stores tonight. This is just too easy.
