I do trips pretty often especially if there is somthing worth going for I can hit 11 stores without trying about 90 miles jsut a route round the m60, I can go even further if I go to Haslingden, rochdale, and Atherton. atherton is a waste of space its an old store that mainly sells groceries not much entertainment so I only go if I'm passing. rochadale and haslingden take me out of the way slightly as does Oldham but those can take me up to 15 stores.
involve passing at least 1 store so I call in as I pass.0 -
ben500 wrote:That's B0II0X your statutory rights are not affected by r&r and if I'm not mistaken it is actually an offence for them just to say they are, I'll have to check that out unless someone else can find something quicker than me that relates to it.
Whilst your statutory rights might not be affected you are entitled to a replacement or refund (and I think its partially at the stores discretion which you get) under the Sale of Goods Act and as you actually paid nothing for the item in the end, they can refund you - £0. You may have more joy from the manufacturer though.0 -
The_Old_Bag wrote:2)If you don't mind passing on which store this was.......especially if YOU are never going to R&R there again, then maybe some of us can potter on down and see what we can see.....
....just a suggestion. I'm sure there are some on this thread who would relish the challenge !!;)
I for one will certainly make a note, and if I am ever in the area will make a special effort to call in on your local Tescos
Why certainly don't mind at all... Its the Huge EXTRA just on the outskirts of Inverness, affectionatley known locally as TESCOTOWN.(yeah.. only because there are so many Tesco's and one Morrisons store, and 50p of every single retail £ spent in Inverness lines the pockets of Mr. T)
Please come viist our beautiful city and pop in Tesco while your here :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:pinkpinkfizz

just wondered if any staff from Tesco, who may be visiting this board can tell me what a R 519 is?
It was marked onto my receipt after I asked for my money back for goods when I was refused an R&R
thanks
(( just thought it might be code for serial R&Rer who is a pain in the A**, and tonight we sorted her out!!)) LOL :rotfl: :rotfl:pinkpinkfizz

CS will let you have the cheaper items, but will fight tooth and nail here for anything over about 30 quid and if they do relent are really narky about it..
I'm impressed you don't have to fight too hard to get cheaper items. This is the store which kept me waiting 45 minutes over mispriced ham.
All CS aren't stroppy there, just the 25 year old with permed blonde hair who whispers lots to everyone else in a subtle obvious way you have done this before. That's when i take great delight saying loudly "i can't believe this store have overcharged me again. More people should check their receipts really."
Mind you, it could be i made them stroppy...this is the store i got my free annual family travel insurance in last year, a month after they opened.Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?

I've just been to 2 of my local stores, one of them being an 'Extra'. Got excited when I spotted an Acer laptop in both of them, only to find that the model was 1592 not 1692
Going to a bigger store this afternoon so hopefully a bit of luck there!0 -
bassman wrote:Arrived back an hour ago after 100 mile round trip to visit 5 branches.....success in all but one.....Had words with the duty manager in the first one. There were two prices on the shelf for Tesco Fresh Beef T/S T/R and SS Joints....One price was the original of £6.48 a kilo....the other was the reduced price of £5.18 a kilo.....I took the assistant to the SEL, and she said that she couldnt refund as there were two different lots on the shelf.....one at £5.18 and one at £6.48......I tried to explain that if the same product shows 2 differing prices, then the lower must be charged....anyway she wasnt having any of this so she called her supervisor , who in turn called the duty manager....in the end all 4 of us stood at the offending Beef....and the duty manager was adamant (new argument)that one was medium joints and the other was small(there was no mention of size on the SEL's.....however if I bought the 3 she would give me one free(along with my £23 worth of Lamb that was wrongly priced.).....So realising I wasnt going to get anywhere I told her I thought she was wrong, and would reluctantly accept her offer of the £7.50 joint free while paying for the other two at £4,50 and 4.60 each......I went from there to another store where I had luck with Sirlion Steak and Tesco Free Range Fresh British Turkey Steaks.....The Beef was also mispriced in that store as well, but didnt want to risk the steak and turkey, so didnt bother......Full RnR on both....left there to next store....Couldnt find anything except the Beef again.....again, there were two prices on the shelves....I took 7 pieces of the higher priced ones through the checkout(with some other goods), and got a full RnR off a young lad (after consultation) who was full of apologies....... for the same meat I was refused an RnR for at the first store............Ended up at my final store and got another 3 joints....and some more lamb as in the first store tonight....All RnRs posted on misprice forum...
Went out to look for laptops, phones, games consoles, mp3 players...but found none...infact there weren't even any on the shelves.....
sorry I cant read that!! Can you use paragraphs next time?0 -
I went into my local metro store which I never bothered with before because its small.
But they do have a CS desk....and oh my God the misprices!!! I found literally over 20 misprices by the time I reached the second aisle!
They had end of ailse promotions that were out of date, and loads of out of date yellow sels everythwere! HAh! I just got £30 worth of vitamins and saved the rest for another time...CS were a bit funny with me as well0 -
