I am fed up with Tesco Customer services....they really are shambolic! I have been emailing them trying to get a straight answer about PSP refund. I just don't get how they can be so inconsistent with so many people getting R+Rs but so many other people being refused....

I wonder if Sir Terry is on holiday, and no one else can make the decision........lol

Another interesting slant on the way the offer can be interpreted!
I would guess that if you mix the discount will not work, but who knows!
The offers have been changing on Friday's.
The poster that allowed my refund today was dated 25th Aug. Current ones should be dated 1st September. I was certain of my R & R today as they had out of date POS material on display. I also used a double points coupon with my purchase. Its use appeared on my receipt but no additional points appeared. I retreived the coupon from the till and got CS to add them for me manually (before getting my refund). Later whilst waiting for the duty manager the other CS lady said that sometimes they take a few days to appear so I might end up getting a third lot!

Double point coupons never appear on your receipt at the time of purchase.
Who or what was I before you came in to my life
    I am not sure

Yes I think the CS lady is correct, Ive used doublepoint coupons and noticed they dont appear on the receipt used for that particular transaction.

    Well done Martini! :T

BTW, I am sure you will get 3x points for this transaction! When a double points coupon is scanned the points never show up on the receipt the same day, they just get added a couple of days later (when you'll notice your running total has gone up).
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I would so love to do this Xbox r&r, and its still the old prey poster in my one local store, but I'm just too chicken to front it.....

Go for it. Taxiphil and I have got one today!
If it is still there tomorrow give it a go. PREY is not the Game of the Week!
Keep calm and state that the £20 is off the combined deal and not the game only. An extra POS label (red/yellow) was less ambiguos than the poster!

    Thanks Coupon-mad!
You would have thought that the first CS lady would have told me this!
I never worry about using my Tesco Credit Clubcard for transactions that include a possible (highly likely) R & R.
Getting all the points are a major consideration. Average deals token value has jumped from around £15 a quarter to around £60. Converted into deals will give a holiday value of around £1000 in a year!

just further adds fuel to the fire when you see they still haven't rectified glitch!!!

Thats good as well...........being able to retrieve from the till your "already used once" doublepoints coupon.............Your store seems extremely obliging.......I'll have to try that.....if I get my ban lifted

I think time has come that you accept that your not going to get the r+r on the PSP. I know I did ages ago.

There have been lots of r+r xbox 360s in the last few days but thay have been down to incorect posters saying the game of the week is prey people buying the bundle as per the display and not getting the discount. I think I will give the xbox 360 a try if I find a poster with prey advertised as game of the week.
  • My R&R was for Prey & a 360 from a poster dated w/c 1st September. I wonder where they got that from?!? If anyone finds the offending poster though, give it a go, yes, I had to ask for the full refund as they first offered £20, then the game, but it was just that, I asked. They gave. No problems. Go for it!

I personally am not giving up on my xbox refund. It is simply unnaceptable for such a big chain with such a public image to vary how they implement their price promise from one person to another.

I will take my complaint to the highest levels including TS and ASA, and then small claims court. To me, the price promse baord at CS is a contract that has been broken.

I know some people take the 'your ruining it for the rest of us' stance but I disagree. Theres no such thing as win some / lose soe in this case. For people claiming back their illegally taken bank charges its a similar situation...you wouldnt just sit back and accept it the first time they refused you a refund would you!

I think that a load of hefty fines from trading standards will have the opposite efefct to what some think; rather than them pulling the policy I think they will re-train all staff to ensure they give R+R where one is due. Thiswill imprve their public image, and keep their pricing policy vigilant and legal whilst avoiding TS fines.
