My store will not give a full refund on things such as BOGOF or 2 for £2 ect. They claim that I have been overcharged for the 2nd item only so will only refund one :(

That happened to me once so after getting my refund i then asked to return the other item which i was then refunded for!!!

The Only thing i could suggest in this instance is
Were there any other copies of the book or the game on the shelves with the incorrect price so you can prove you have not put the sticker there yourself?
I had this problem with sudoku game and i just showed the cs member of staff the 5 other copies on the shelf with the wrong price.

Thanks, but the problem was/is that the item is NOW scanning at the lower price - which agrees with the stickers. But I was charged a higher amount - as my receipt shows
    ie, cd stickered= 8.97, charged 9.97
Go to cs 2 days later with cd stickered 8.97, and it scans £8.97!!.
CS wouldn't believe that the receipt I gave showing cd.....9.97 was for the cd I was showing them.
She even said she would have to call duty manager, I said "Fine", then she couldn't find him, so I said I would do my shopping and call back, and she begrudgingly gave in.
Point is, with the latest batch of books being charged at a higher price....but within a few days being charged correct price, unless you go straight to cs that day/minute, how can you prove which receipt is for which item. As Constantine said on his reply to me, the receipts give bare minimum - no name of book or cd, so how can anyone tell if I had been on the fiddle.

What is the Game you bought with the PSP?
Does anyone know what is the Game of the Week on the Nintendo DS and the PSP this week?
One of my local stores has the Xbox PREY poster still up and the DS & PSP state that CARS is the game of the week!
In other words they still have the charts for the W/C 25th August still up!
They also have conflicting £10 & £20 POS material for the Xbox & PSP.

Summoned courage to try Xbox (World cup core edition - best one they had) and PREY game purchase today.
Discount of course did not come off. Duty manager said that I should get £20 refunded because the display was a "right mess". When I pointed out their policy he went to consult with the store manager who happened to be in! Came back 5 minutes later and authourised a full refund of £279.93.
Well happy and no trouble again at my store!

Yes, and just as shocking is the fact he tried to do a purchase of several hundred pounds WITHOUT A CLUBCARD!!!

Actually diet coke isn`t that bad - it was very nice as I remember and the reason I didn`t use a clubcard was that the OH works for Mr T and our cards are linked to the same account.

However I`m going to sort myself another card this week to use in such situations in the future :)
  • My local store in Northampton had a sign up today saying 'buy an XBOX 360 / PS2 with game of the week and get £20 off', or something along those lines. Will the discount come off if I buy an xbox with the ps2 GOTW, and if it does not will i be due an r&r. Also does constantine, sp2k or any others no when the game of the week changes as i actually want an xbox but not with that shoddy gta rip off thats GOTW presently

I mentioned this to the OH the other day. "Game of the week" could refer to the game of the week on any console and not necessarily just the game of the week for the console you are buying. Don't know if the discount will come off if you bought the GOTW for a different console to the one you're buying, but it's worth a shot. I'd say it's doubtful the discount will kick in.
